Because the Catholic Church is the largest religious institution with the most power and corruption. Protestantism is like herding cats. When my catholic raised parent found out they could have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ they never stepped foot in a Catholic Church again. You are sadly deceived. The Bible was assembled long before the catholic church was created in 325 Ad. The 7 books are not scripture, Christ never quoted from not one of them and lays out the old testament books in Matthew from start to finish. Freemasonry has catholic background. rev 17-18 tells you need to know about your "church". All you have to do is believe what the Bible(AKJV) says.
The 7 books removed by protestant revolutionaries were the same books that the first century (Christ-killing, Christ Rejecting) Jews denied; 30 some odd years after they killed Christ.

The Jewish canon wasn't defined until after the time of Jesus, decades after they rejected & killed Christ...The fact that the Jews no longer read them, use them, or find them authoritative is irrelevant. The Protestant revolutionaires of the 16th century took their understanding of the bible from the 1st century Jews who killed Christ & hold their opinion of the Bible in higher regard then the early Church of who accepted these books; hense, Catholics & Orthodox resemble the early church MORE than Protestants do, with their watered down religion.
