People need to go to prison
Senator Josh Hawley “What you're telling us is these big insurance companies went to a consulting firm, McKinsey, and asked them to design a program to help rip off policyholders?”
“That is correct, sir”
Josh Hawley “And that has that been successful? I mean, has their program been successful in ripping off policyholders?”
“It's been incredibly successful, sir. It is actually part of this systemic fraud that's occurring every day now.”
Massive Federal RICO charges against McKinsey consulting firm and the Insurance Companies in 3...2...1... now.
Also, let’s not forget, if anyone died because of denial of medical treatment, and we can be certain of this, that is PREMEDITATED MURDER.
We have the 2 best senators in the last 50 years in Missouri. Josh Hawley and Eric Schmitt. MO MAGA.
I am very happy for you. We in Maryland have the likes of the senator that met with the illegal gang member, with Tren D' Aragua, I believe, and even had a drink with him I think. Wishing we had senators like yours instead.
And we have Susan Collins here in Maine...nothing more to say.
good, now do big pharma.
Is this specifically health insurance companies? I haven’t been able to find anything.
all insurance companies car, house, health, and anything else that is insured
What's your source for that?
Property insurance and health insurance are different companies and categories and under completely different laws and regulatory agencies so that's a pretty extraordinary claim you're making.
Edit: He had no source and accused me of working for insurance agencies because I simply asked for a source on his assertion. This is likely only the healthcare industry.
you dont think they are over charging you for car ins and homeowners ins or health ins .?? think again look at your bills thats all you need to see........you must work for an insurance company.. did you listen what was posted??
Nice straw man fallacy.
Yes I listened. They didn't mention property or health... Hence the question in place of an over generalization fallacy and potentially making a false assumption. Sorry that triggers you..
I asked you for a source saying it was ALL TYPES of insurance that the senator and the man were talking about and you couldn't provide one which means this is nothing more than your unfounded assertion.
I'll remind you of the context: the senator was asking about insurance companies, presumably in a specific category considering health insurance auto insurance are not going to have the same representative. Super simple stuff.
You're entitled to have an opinion but if you make an assertion of fact you should be able to back up that claim, otherwise say "in my opinion"
I'm sorry my basic question triggered you into an ad hominem attack.
Do better.
Both property and auto insurers use McKinsey & Company and have done so for some time now. Those insurers play the same games in their respective markets trying to beat down the insured by denying claims, underpaying claims, or just ignoring the claim altogether altogether.
Yeah I don't doubt that....
Not what I asked though.
I asked if this was health insurance or property insurance.
The person I asked for a source said both but didn't provide any proof to back up the claim.
My assumption was it's likely one or the other, not both.
It's definitely both, or more correctly every segment of the insurance industry has accepted sticking it to policyholders every chance they get as standard practice.

Big Insurance Companies and the McKinsey Report – how lawyer By denying a claim, insurance companies force policyholders and claimants to seek legal representation. Many personal injury attorneys are reluctant to take on a client for a small loss, since attorneys often work on contingency fee schedules.
There is a fundamental misunderstanding of who needs to go to prison. The most important people who need severe punishment are also the least likely group. The Board of Directors.
It's not CEOs. It's not VPs or managers or the people who made the software. Those are the people who will get in trouble, and maybe some should, but they are meaningless if the Board of Directors continue to hide behind them.
My report shows, without doubt, that there is a single Board of Directors, and they control the entire world. Every company (including governments) is protected by this legal shield of people around them, the front men. The evil is behind the scenes, and they always get away with it.
Every single one of them needs to be removed from the planet. A direct rocket to the sun would probably be a fitting punishment.
The issue I have with Josh Hawley (as well as Jim Jordan and John Kennedy) is that they are great orators, but never actually do anything after they have talked big. Nothing happens after that
We all knew this was going on. How bout we look into how these insurance drop people just before a tragedy like the wild fires? They always say it's the economics but it's always within 90 days.
Did the know was coming ahead of time? Asking for a friend. 🤔🙄
Which insurance companies?
Someone in the comments asked Grok this question and here's the answer:
Evidence suggests Allstate and State Farm are linked to historical McKinsey strategies criticized as exploitative, based on a May 2025 Senate hearing. Allegations stem from a 1990s McKinsey report advising claim delays and low offers, but current use is unclear. Both companies deny ongoing fraud, citing robust claim payments and low complaint rates. Other insurers' involvement lacks specific evidence. For details, see the Senate hearing at http://hsgac.senate.gov.
I can vouch that State Farm does this. it took FOREVER to get our roof paid after a hailstorm with baseball sized hail. They denied so many things... and low balled us on the claim. Luckily my husband was on them constantly and they paid for almost everything, I think, just to get rid of his calls. Otherwise, even after the roof was replaced, they took SIX MONTHS to pay the roofer. They didn't pay us fair market for pieces of our cars we had to replace. all sorts of headaches. Plus after paying them for 30 years with only small claims against our insurance, they raised our rates after the hail claim. For what we have paid them, we have paid for our hail damage at least 20 times over. Such a scam.
I always say that if we didn't get insurance, and instead put the money we would have paid them into an interest bearing account, when there was damage we could pay for it ourselves and still have money left over to take ourselves to dinner.
Unfortunately when you have a mortgage, you have to have insurance. What a scam. Don't even get me started on car insurance....
Yet on my state your required to buy insurance for certain things.
Thanks wulf for the quick research!!! Appreciated. I haven’t dipped into the AI dark side yet myself.
Grok is pretty good at getting you a quick answer.
If you really want to know just read Delay, Deny, Defend. This book has been reprinted 17x the last I checked about 15 years ago..yes 15 years ago and it’s only got worse.
I know this might be a side tangent but if we know that Allstate and State Farm are doing this what is stopping other insurance industry leaders from engaging in this?
Why is it that IULs are considered safe because of the very large and prominent insurance industry? What happens when the insurance industry is shown to not be as safe? Then does an IUL investment safety and low risk come into question?
There is a lot to untangle.
Every company I know, and I deal with many many companies, either use the methods McKinsey and Company designed or a variant of the same system.
Fair point and I am interested in seeing how this unfolds.
Sad thing is when I read these I’m not surprised and long past angry.
Guess Luigi knew something we don’t 🤔
Nonetheless murder is not the solution
The last 5 years we have been getting bent over in Florida. I would have thought Ron would have put some heat on these companies but nope................. So I just start canceling policies, higher deductables and sell stuff off. Makes life more simple anyway.
