What part of Kentucky?
Well that depends, Elizabeth Town is nice. If you like hiking and the outdoors, the Red River Gorge area. The area around I-75 on the Tennessee border is very much like Tennessee. Western KY flattens out a bunch and there is plenty of fishing and boating all over the state. I would love to take a week or two and explore new places to set down roots if I was younger and had the opportunity.

u/PopTartGun/ nailed it. They are a VERY conservative operation. They also have very high standards for cleanliness. I have a bunch of their stores near me. Always clean and always PACKED. And as far as I've seen, they never higher illegals. Almost always American teenagers in the restaurants I have visited. Always well spoken and polite. They get paid better than most teen jobs too, bc they are expected to maintain high quality standards for food and service.
And yes, they espouse Christian values.
I'd encourage anyone to support In-N-Out. Plus I think their burgers, fries and shakes are amazing. This could be a YUGE win for Tennessee residents

Hope you're one of the fortunate ones to have INO in your state. Last I checked they were only in like 5 or 6 states, all west of the rockies. If they open locations in their new state HQs, TN residents are in for a real treat.
In and Out Burgers were fricken awesome and their fries too, in the beginning. And it was Calif where I had that. Good old stomping grounds days waaaay too long ago.
Still are fren! Ton of them out here in AZ too. Always awesome and always packed with people no matter the time of day.
A great burger is one of California’s great legacies, probably soon to go bye bye. Tommy Burger’s chili burgers were the best.
My son and I made a trip to California in 2010. We made a list of fast food type places that are only found on the west coast. In and out was on the list for the first day. We were there 9 days. I wonder what the other places are like? We ate there every day. It’s hard to explain, to someone who hasn’t tried it, but it’s that good. Of course that’s only one hillbilly’s opinion
You're not wrong. In-N-Out burgers are amazing. The best IMO. I'm in AZ and its the only place I go when I want a burger out. My family visited and like you, wanted to eat there everyday. LOL. And you know they-re good bc, out here anyway, they are ALWAYS packed. Doesn't matter if they just opened, or its the middle of the day, always lots of customers.

Sadly they aren't Texan anymore. Some private-equity firm in Chicago bought them in 2019.
Wife and I used to eat there a fair amount but now (at least near me in Texas) you have to take out a loan to afford 2 meals. I still get a chocolate shake or onion rings every once in a while but it is really rare.
As for their burgers - never really liked them that much although I did like their patty melts. DQ Texas' burgers are much better imo. Plus they have tacos in Texas.

Try one (in Texas - I did say DQ Texas). Their Hunger Busters are pretty good for fast food.
I found out DQ is split when I temporarily lived in Florida. I went thru the drive thru and tried to order Tacos. The lady told me DQ doesn't sell them. I went inside and showed her my app and the many times I ordered them, and we both found out that DQ Texas is different.
Fortunately there was a Mexican restaurant beside DQ (in Florida).

I’ve never tried Whataburger. I see them mentioned a lot. I’m in central Ky, don’t think we have one. Five Guys makes a good fresh burger and fries. They tend to be a little pricey. Not as pricey as a plane ticket to wherever I can find Whataburger or in n out.
Looks like the closest Whataburger to you would be in the Nashville TN area. It's not a plane ticket but just a tank of gas!
They're decent burgers but not THAT decent. If I'm being honest, their quality went downhill when they were bought by another company out of Chicago.
I lived out west for a couple years and I would be lying if I said I never went to, much less never enjoyed, In-N-Out. It was good. All ingredients were fresh. It just tasted like it was missing something and I couldn't figure it out.
Anyway, now I want a burger.
Yeah, three hour drive. No big deal there. I really don’t like what Nashville is becoming. I much prefer the eastern end of Tennessee.

Also the Fisher Flour Scone Truck. Scones with butter and raspberry jam. Best scones in the world. Worth the lines.

I've heard they hire mainly teenagers, treat them well and pay them well (by teen job standards). They also instill principles and values in their staff. Every teen I've met there at AZ locations I visit are absolutely fantastic and courteous
Maybe you have met my son then here in AZ. They treat their associates very well. He gets vacation pay and a small amount for college tuition reimbursement every year. They also throw a pretty kickass company party every year.
That is AWESOME! That makes the INO experience all the more rewarding. Not only is the food amazing, but knowing the staff is treated so well makes every visit worth it. And I bet that company party is kickass!! Hopefully INO caters it!! :)

So many coming to Tennessee. The amount of housing construction is insane. Developments popping up everywhere. Roads congested.
I hope they make their HQ somewhere other than Nashville. The left is taking over that city more and more.
Here too I can only hope the winter will cause them to leave.

Running is like littering and why most people don't want Californians moving to their areas of America. They don't assimilate. They're like the Somalian's of America.

I am fighting as hard as I can in my own way to fix California, but if there comes a point where living here adversely affects my child, we'll leave. So far, I've been able to keep him in a bubble by homeschooling, but that bubble may not last forever.

She said she had a two year lead to move to make it an easier transition for her staff. Usually, in situations like this one, the corporation offers everyone jobs in the new location. Then, after the move, they hire replacements in the new location for the people who chose not to take the move offer. Being as so many companies have left California, I've seen many friends go through this with their respective companies. Some of my friends left with their company and some chose not to go.

I used to live in Austin in the late 90s. Moved away and came back in 2010. It was a different place. I don't even like to visit there anymore because of all the clueless transplants.
