God's Word says," My thoughts are not your thoughts, and My ways are not your ways." So they aren't creating the mind of God. Better be careful thinking they are right up there with God. They will be brought down without mercy. "Pride cometh before a fall."
Take my updoot. That picture looks like rebuilding the tower of Babel, by adding on to what was destroyed. Horrible look. Could be a warning as well as some other anon mentioned.
That may be true for computers and AI... but not for the average person.
Visit any public high school... and you'll see that we are FAR from birthing super-intelligence. In fact, we've slid backwards by more than 50-years in education quality.
Have to say, I have a lot of respect for Bukele but his choice of words is concerning here.
Do our kids, in spontaneous interviews for instance, seem quite dull and uninformed? American kids are groomed to be exactly that way. And it is not the way China has educated their young. As we know, they excel. But they are not in fact more intelligent than us, their minds and intellect were nourished from babyhood. In our public schools we fed our little budding sprouts mind-poison instead, and if the were hyperactive from boredom, we drugged them. And fluoride, for Godsake...literally lowering IQ on purpose! Those days are fkg ending!
Bukele's statement, "We are birthing superintelligence... destined to solve every problem," echoes philosopher Nick Bostrom's 2014 book "Superintelligence," which warns that an uncontrolled AI could pose existential risks unless guided by robust ethical frameworks, a concern supported by a 2021 Nature study showing 72% of AI experts agree on the need for strict safety protocols.
The juxtaposition of the painting with Bukele's bold rhetoric may critique modern AI ambitions, aligning with historical warnings against technological arrogance, as seen in Genesis 11
Put that quote into Google (with the quotes) - this is some kind of copypasta, there’s hundreds of accounts that posted the same thing with the same image… 🧐
The quote put in context with the Tower of Babel. Makes it appear as a warning. As it looks like Bukele is quoting someone or a work.
Like a scene from the opening cutscene of a post-apocalyptic survival game. Everything is looking fantastic. Until it all goes wrong.
And now the world is a wasteland. With isolated pockets of humanity clinging to life in ruins beset by Mutants, Terminators, the new environment, and each other.
He didn’t post it like you imply: he quoted this sentence.
Your post subject should not be:
President of El Salvador - "“We are birthing superintelligence. We are creating the mind of God, infinite, destined to solve every problem we’ve ever faced and usher in an age without death.”
But:
President of El Salvador - "« We are birthing superintelligence. We are creating the mind of God, infinite, destined to solve every problem we’ve ever faced and usher in an age without death. »"
To be fair, the quote ends with only a single quote. But thanks for trying!
To me it seems that Bukele is pointing out the folly in trying to "rebuild the tower of Babel". I've listened to multiple interviews of his, and it would surprise me if he was globo-homo enough to buy something like this. What do you think?
I think he's talking about OUR connection to God being restored, and WE become the superintelligence "ports". Why would team loserfer want to clog up our pineal glands with fluoride? I think it's because it functions as our internal communicator with the Almighty. Heap big issue for them if that happens!!
We may be able to touch the kingdom of heaven by going within, but we can't create it because 1. we're not that big and 2. it's already created. I'm not sure what Bukele is trying to say.
You're right, and one of those things is to ask context lol it's a learning thing I get it. When I first read your title I was like oh shit, but then I saw the tower of babel and understood what he meant.
I wish I could say AI was a good thing but from everything I've seen it's not.
I don't even think Isaac Asimov's three laws of robotics could fix AI.
I never read his books even though I'm a total sci fi nerd, and I 've read as many Ray Bradbury books as I could find when I was a kid, as well as Burroughs, and Heinlein. Maybe it's time I read Aasimov's books.
(1) a robot may not injure a human or allow a human to come to harm;
(2) a robot must obey human orders unless it conflicts with the first law; and
(3) a robot must protect its own existence as long as it does not conflict with the first two laws.
AI in the best case scenario leads to total socialism. Worst case is terminators. It'll probably start with socialism and end in terminators. We've entered a period of time where any human expression could be created by AI and you don't even know. That last email you read, a book, movie, art. How are you going to be able to tell it wasn't created by AI or AI was used in it's creation. We can no longer take for granted that something created came 100% from a human mind and hand.
We’re really reverting to circa 1900. Anything happening beyond the borders of one’s immediate County. Is just a story until someone can directly see it with their own 2 eyes.
Tower of Babel? Creating the mind of God?
God's Word says," My thoughts are not your thoughts, and My ways are not your ways." So they aren't creating the mind of God. Better be careful thinking they are right up there with God. They will be brought down without mercy. "Pride cometh before a fall."
AMEN

They used bricks not stones.
If our languages get scrambled again, will the app Babel stilwork???

One word: TRANSHUMANISM.
Fuck these people. I'm praying for a flood, if that's where this is going.
No, God specifically forswore any more floods. Every rainbow is his seal of promise.
Doesn't mean we can't get another meteor or something
A sky event perhaps, from our sun.
Amen!
"This is the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth"
7 stripes, not 6!!😇
Yes, the old mnemonic: ROY G. BIV

The only one I see is this:

They are quoting him.
Can you provide a screenshot of what you see?
Yes I’ll get that up this evening
Seventy-two percent want strict safety protocols for AI? That's good news.

Talking about AI.
The falling away from God.
Tower of Babel is being referenced frens...
I think he's talking about OUR connection to God being restored, and WE become the superintelligence "ports". Why would team loserfer want to clog up our pineal glands with fluoride? He's saying that AI is bad, what we are doing is creating a tower of babel. Your "wut" is implying that he's saying it as a good thing.
Bad form Anon, bad form.
Be comfortable with anons asking questions. We were taught to think for ourselves, not blindly follow. Question everything.

This is what happens when you hyperventilate. Your eyes get all googly and your fingers tingle.
He’s huffing his own farts?
