My current thoughts are that Charlie was rigged to spurt blood like in a film production and those guys next to him making the hand signals set it off with a remote control, as well as setting off the bang on the roof and the signal for the pasty to be seen running away.

If we have pretty much figured out that the guy on the roof didn't take his gun apart to escape then reassemble it to hide it in the woods, then we know that it's a conspiracy with people, probably people on the inside like those next to Charlie.
If it's a conspiracy, why can't it be a white hat one with prostheses and fake blood. It would explain the look of the injury better than most of the existing theories. It would explain why his t shirt puffed out, and also, why his t shirt wasn't shredded by a spalling ricocheted bullet coming off a titanium plate - no big bang either.
It is a possibility in my mind that the cabal planned to kill Kirk and the white hats interdicted and made it into a film production. Somewhat like I imagine happened with the UFOs.

I have an idea that sometimes there are black hat ops which are interdicted by the white hats and re-purposed.
If this is the case with this one, then you would find all the planning etc. for a conspiracy assassination which would trace back through wherever (Soros, or the Mormon church or Mossad or the CIA or whoever ) and that would be used to wind up the cabal afterwards.
I suggest that maybe the white hats were watching and switched out part of the plan and whisked Charlie away, somewhat like they may have done with Epstein. Another similar example might be Butler where there was a plan involving Crooks, Yearick and Hooper or whoever. The white hats knew and stopped it, also catching them in the act.
I suggest a good example of the white hats co opting a plan is the UFO scare last December in New York. I think the black hats wanted to do the whole Bluebeam move, but the white hats put drones there with FAA compliant lights and made the whole thing look like a secret government operation instead.

For those saying it was JUST a cellphone, I would say considering he was using it normally earlier, its odd that he takes the phone out of pocket only to hold it sideways, one of the hands slightly in front of the other..in other words he was holding it in a manner similar to how I imagine a person would hold/stabalize a derringer.

I think the whole thing was staged and CK isn't dead. I can be convinced otherwise, but this cell gun thing just doesn't begin to sound reasonable to me. The gun itself is tiny: if you plan to kill someone, that gun is simply a bad plan at anything other than point blank range. To me this theory seems more like "flood the zone" info chaos than anything else. Not that it's not worth looking at just in case, but for me it goes on the "solid no" pile.
My idea is better I think than the cell gun.
