If states want to buck this and continue with the mail in ballots, they can run their own postal service. The federal government doesn't have to be errand boy for their corrupt practices.
The rural regions of NH, Maine and Conn vote red, but they are carefully gerrymandered to protect the dems.
We've been camping in the White Mts of NH for the past 15 years. It's very rare to see any democrat bumper stickers or yard signs while driving trough the major routes. It's overwhelmingly Trump country, so the cheating formula works well there also.
Now secure the counting process. We could have paper ballots, proof of citizenship, no machines, no mail-in ballots, but if the counting process is corrupt we will still have fraud in the elections.
Per Stalin; βIt is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing; the people who count the votes decide everything.β It's something to keep in mind.
By EO that was being crafted by lawyers as of that presser. Wonder how it'll go down when he actually signs it. I'm guessing it won't be a quiet rollout.
That was back in August. I haven't heard anything about it since.
I'm going to slap a reality sandwich down here, even though people typically don't like the taste of them.
It's most likely not going to happen. Here's why.
It's a states' rights issue. And part of the US Constitution. Article 1 Section 4.
Since people seem to have some very convenient amnesia going on, I'll remind everyone that Trump was already President once. For a whole 4 years, and was not able to end mail in voting then, either.
It's difficult to try to convince the general public that mail in voting is bad when Trump himself has encouraged his supporters to vote early, use absentee voting, or anything else they need to take advantage of to make sure they can vote. Also there's the little fact that Trump himself votes by mail. The constant flip flopping, based on whether or not his people think he'll benefit from mail in voting isn't a good look.
Since I'm sure people have some amnesia about this as well, I'll remind you that towards the end of the last Presidential campaign, Trump and the Republican Party started singing a different tune on this. From "only on election day, at the election booth" to "ABSENTEE VOTING, EARLY VOTING, AND ELECTION DAY VOTING ARE ALL GOOD OPTIONS. REPUBLICANS MUST MAKE A PLAN, REGISTER, AND VOTE!β"-PDJT April/May 2024 Truth Social posts.
There's video clips of him saying it. It was reported on by a metric fuck ton of reporters when it happened.
I even pointed it out myself here, last year. But for some reason, everyone else seems to have missed this or somehow wiped it from their memories.
But I guarantee the libs won't forget, and as soon as Trump starts talking about trying to put an end to it, they're going to dig up all those clips and point out that he didn't have any issue with mail in voting when it benefitted him. Just like they did back in August, when this clip was originally recorded. Which is why we probably haven't heard anything else about it lately .
I predict that we won't hear about it again in any meaningful way until sometime next year, right in time for mid-terms. Unless, of course, Trump's advisors think he'll benefit from mail in voting, like what happend last April/May.
In any case, it's basically just a way to keep people doing busy work, and their attention diverted from everything else going on. Because unless Trump is going to full on violate the US Constitution (I refer you back to the above comment about Article 1, Section 4), there's really not a whole lot you can do.
Best thing you can do that might show some actual results is to do whatever you can to get your state's legislation to revoke mail in voting in your state.
But sitting around waiting for some miracle to happen that will allow Trump to end it all himself is just asking for failure.

In the past demonrats were never really in a rush to open mail in ballots. During the pre internet days, mail in ballots were counted last and they were usually military ballot from over seas. Which means mail in ballots generally broke right not left.
Trump's wrong on one aspect - UK uses postal votes... ;/ However we have voter ID checks at the ballot place so it's less open to fraud but it does still happen with things like ballot harvesting on the doorstep etc. Usually results in Muslims elected to local office. Surprise surprise!!
I certainly hope no judges were injured in their rush to file the forthcoming injunction. /sarc
Judges don't file injunctions. A plaintiff or petitioner files a motion or petition requesting an injunction, judges grant them (or not)
Calirado gov poleass or sec of state griswold who jailed Tina Peters are writing up a storm this cold calirado nightβ¦
(snort!)
There goes the dim party.
I would call that a win.
We still have the Rinos to deal with.
This is true.....

LFG We r so red here in CA. So many years without representation. You frogs can count on me and family voting No on 50 and Yes to ICE!
40% of New England voted for Trump, but we have ZERO Republican senate representation.
Only 40%? Seriously?

Extremely well stated.
Thanks! Refreshing response. βοΈ
It needs to be codified and not stay as an EO! Trump knows and if they, the Republicans win the House and Senate then maybe it will be codified.

My mail in ballot is marked No on 50, waiting to be walked to the polls on Nov 4. I wonder if it will be valid.
Wait dont some liberal judges have a say in it.
I'd like them to end zoom court as well. I feel like if you get in trouble, you should be required to leave your house and come to court.

Saying it, don't make it so.
This will be a hard fault process, just like ever battle being fault to restore the American system.
