Having trouble educating my sister, who is 61 and has a heart murmur. She is hardheaded and stubborn as a mule. I know I saw several things about these drinks being "less than healthy" - maybe it was over on X or a FB reel. So, since this forum is for this type of research, I just thought I would try here, because We The Frens know our stuff and we keep receipts.

You'd probably be better off pouring out the liquid and eating the can.
Rofl...hilarious. Top comment, and probably true.
Agree lol !
Best comment !!
They're not worse than any other regular soda...which is not saying much. Actually given that list a coca-cola is worse for you.
Really the only "unnatural" things in that entire list are Sorbic Acid, Benzoic Acid and Sucralose: the rest are vitamins, amino acids, some sugars, and plain ol' caffeine.
Taurine is very bad. This stuff is poison so why would someone want to consume it for a buzz?
Correct taurine is also very essential to cat health. Very important to be present in cat food, so it wouldn't be bad to be consumed by humans.
Haha
The monster logo are three numbers in Hebrew. Do a search on it. And look up the original founder. Start there.
The number 6. For those still wondering.
There is an energy drink called "Liquid Death" and RETARDS think it is funny. We probably can't save our species at this point. /s https://liquiddeath.com/en-jp/products/sparkling-energy
Plus, I avoid ALL aluminum cans. Glass only for consumable liquids. Widespread use of aluminum cans correlates directly with astronomical rise in cognitive diseases. Something wrong with the "barrier" between carbonated drinks and the aluminum material, imo.
Yea the cans being lined with plastic bag is shitty.
I thought Liquid Death was actually just canned water?
Flavored sparkling water, yes.

The founder was Rusty Weiner (real name). Son of radio host Michael Savage. The company was sold way back I believe. Savage used to talk about it on his show.
any relation to the nascar legend dick trickle?
avoid all energy drinks, avoid all soda. It's 100% poison.
Carbonated drinks interacting with the aluminum can may be the "longterm poison". More research needed on the exact amount of aluminum actually IN the consumed liquid. Aluminum dust particles are a neurotoxin and are treated as carefully as biohazards with safe suits, clean rooms, etc. in manufacturing. And yet we drink out of aluminum cans, use aluminum foil, and cook using aluminum pans. Something not right.
Which is what the plastic lining in the cans is for, to keep the aluminum from leaching out over time. Weirdly there are plenty of people in the world who are not retarded despite using aluminum cans and foil so it's probably not as big of an issue as you are making it out to be, like how plastic bottles aren't holding back people are who stronger and more athletic either.
Admittedly, i take a rather extreme "zero toxins" approach rather than the "limited toxins can be dealt with adequately by the body" approach.
I have shifted my position after investigating how even microtoxin exposure accelerates autophagy (cell death and replacement), dramatically lowering lifespans. Zero toxin environment should theoretically result in average human lifespan of 110 years min, +35 from where we are now. (US population base).
110 years… Yikes
I’ll stick with the toxins thank you 😊
While some of the stuff in these isn't bad for you, it's basically soda with a ton of sugar in it. If someone has heart conditions the amount of caffeine and other stimulants in it probably aren't a good call to be consuming regularly.
Heavily-marketed poisons. Start calling them HMPs.
Search for energy drinks-kidney stones. That’s a good start.
Unless you're already prone to oxlate issues it's meaningless, I used to have a massive soda habit all the way to my early 40s yet never once have had a stone. People prone to them are more of a combination of genetics and extremely poor hydration.
Short answer: No.
Just stick with good ol H2O 👌
When has a corporation ever fed you something healthy?
I have a niece that ended up in the ER 3 different times with chest pains and finally was told to stop with the energy drinks. She was 18 years old at the time, and yes, she was on public assistance so never ended up paying for expensive ER visits. Have not talked with her in 20+ years, she's a loser.
Someone who drinks these things either doesn’t care that much about their health or they have an addiction they cannot break. There are many other things to drink that are natural.
They are not healthy.
666 is not healthy
Supporting the devil is not healthy.
I don't touch that stuff.
Take my word for it. The answer is yes they’re bad for you.
Mountain Dew is about the same. Loaded with caffeine and sugar. The acid causes Mountain Dew Mouth because it dissolves the teeth.
Not
Not direct intel or receipt from me, just a word of perspective. Any healthy advertising of the drink that is otherwise full of "poison" is the same type of advertising as the fast food burger because, it has lettuce and tomato on it (healthy halo). Yes the vegi is healthy but, everything else is not so, you are not doing anything good for yourself eating it, in fact, you are doing yourself a huge health disservice by doing so.
Excessive amt of caffeine, drinking two of them is enough to give heart palpitations. So not the best thing for anxious people to be consuming habitually. Issue is that kids are drinking it and there have been ER visits from panic attacks.
They're fine but not for everyone. Some are sensitive to the highish caffeine, others like my brother are sensitive to niacine. I've been drinking them for 15+ years, no issues. Edit: As always, moderation is key. Also drinking these at 61 is kind of wild.
Yeah we all have that one friend who can't handle single cup of coffee while others can down a quad espresso and their heart rate or blood pressure don't even rise. In my experience it often seems to be thyroid related as the caffeine intolerant seems to always have a thyroid issue as well.
We’ve banned our fire academy kids from drinking any energy drinks in class and on training ground.
Had an 18 yo kid in his first structure fire…didn’t feel well…he was pulled from duty because he’s been pounding monster, or whatever and his heart rate was super high.
Not good for the body nor mind.
Monster bad-Red Bull better. Original flavor only. Everything in it is something we’ve heard of. Sugar, carbonated water, caffeine, b-12, taurine, baking soda, natural flavors, probably not in that order. I’m working from the top of my head.
I just saw an Instagram the other day that said that the Red Bull has crickets in it 🤮 no sauce to provide though.
Great.
Water is the drink you’re looking for. Not this poison.
I also see people drinking those cans of liquid death. They tell you what it is.

that's interesting! Thank you
