Good advice. I would further say, treat the things with which you agree or like, with the same level of scrutiny and care. The left AND much of the right wing establishment know no bounds. As an aside, I have to say - Rush Limbaugh called all of this so long ago, when he said that the overwhelming majority of the Tweets against him on Twitter (long before Musk) came from about a dozen or less actual people. I knew he was right (99.8% of the time, he said!) but itβs only grown to be more true by the day.

And then I look at all the chats on here where soooo many Anons have poured their hearts out about how their entire family and all their friends have abandoned them because of their views, and how this board is now their family.
And if it's not the liberals getting over a million abortions a year, who is it? Hypocritical conservatives?

Mostly those reports measures server-side automated traffic (scrapers, crawlers, API bots), not fake humans arguing in comment sections.

You're overly-offended on behalf of people getting called bots. In general, people who get called bots are not up to any good. The accusation of bot usually comes from bot-like behavior, like breaking forum rules.
Because hanging out on a Q forum while being contrary to Q, after 8 years, getting banned and recreating accounts, would not typical human behavior.
Unfortunately, 99% of the people who hurl bot accusations will not use reason or logic like you're doing, and will merely double down on their blind belief the opposition is just bots.

It is trivial to create a bot today.
Go to chatgpt, ask it to instruct you in creating a conversational bot for a forum. Ask for help in scraping posts to reply to. Ask for code to programmatically create posts.
Anyone who is smart can have it up-and-going in a day.
Your freshly created bot can judge sentiment of people posting. It can find topics of a certain theme. It can look for posts pushing one position, and create counter arguments that represent a counter position.
Again, this is trivial. Any average joe can do this, right here and right now, and the responses would be believably written by a human.
DARPA states on its own website that it does this (consensus cracking bots that correct wrong-think).
This is truth. This is reality. It certainly happens, all day long every day on every political forum. Your fervor in arguing that it doesn't happen does not match reality.
Billions upon billions of dollars are being invested in AI right now, making ram prices go through the roof. If anything, bot accusations will proportionally increase because bot activity will proportionally increase.
Truth ultimately survives, however. No amount of content the bots generate will be able to somehow violate this fact. If something is objectively true, it'll debunk them instantly. People should make themselves smarter so they can tell if something is true or false. The rise of AI should actually encourage people to become smarter, not lazier and dumber.
