Isn't Juneteenth a day off in the USA? There aren't enough days off in America. I can see how it it was probably designed to be obnoxious, but I say counteract it by pushing the truth that it's a testament to the victory of the Republican Party over slavery. Make it an announcement that it's to commemorate the Republicans' triumph over the Democrats by emancipating slaves. Turn it around on the race baiters with the facts.
Although I do not live in America, I'd say that seeing President Trump giving a speech on Juneteenth about the humanitarian victory over Democrats would be way better than seeing him giving lip service to the Indian poop-tossing Diwali festival. Liberating slavery is noble. Rolling around in cow shit is not.
MLK day is not enough. Right now, it’s the only federal holiday that honors an American. Get rid of Presidents Day and bring back a day to honor George Washington. I’m OK with dropping MLK.
