I just got a phone call from Aetna which is my Medicare add on. The gentleman mispronounced my surname and I corrected him. He wanted to schedule an in home healthcare visit. I said no thank you. He asked why. I told him it was intrusive and I don't want strangers coming in my house. But, he continued, we want to be sure you're ok. I said I'm fine. I'm 73 but quite active. My son and DIL live with me and if I feel unwell I can go to the doctor if warranted. He said well we can check your home and share our findings with your doctor. I asked if it was mandatory and he said no. I said have a nice day. We are done here. Why would anyone consent to this? Hell no! Stay in your lane, Aetna!

They're just trying to get paid. Govmnt subsidized.
Hi we are from the health insurance company and we are here to help!
Just as dangerous as the government saying.
Medicare you go regularly. Now they are doing 'well visits' like private. Some are asked about arthritis...even though your doctor tells you can't do anything. They also are doing cognitive tests!!! Look out!
They trick you in the test too...after telling you about it, then they ask to repeat numbers they gave as an example. So while you are tuning in for direction, you are not focused as you would be for a test. So you fail...when they want you to repeat the numbers, even though you understood what would be taking place. Criminal. I will not be scheduling them. No no no. Our system keeps testing, poking, prodding, and sticking you looking for SOMETHING! To get you into the BIG PHARMA MATRIX.
The best advice I can give, is to to to the doctor when you are sick. Remember that?
I don't go to the doctor when I'm sick, lol. Maybe if I need stitches!
Your Miranda rights don’t only apply when you’re being arrested. You always have the right to remain silent and it’s because what you say can and will be used against you. This applies to every situation.
Excellent point. And as any good, conservative youtube lawyer will tell you. Don't say ANYTHING without a lawyer present. Sure, he or she gets paid, but, they could also save your skin.
Yes, they are intrusive. They know we no longer trust them.
Exactly what I did! Except, I went further. I let them know if I needed them, I'll let them know, and to mark my file with Do Not Contact Me. Yes they are intrusive.
Asked me about owning guns and if I'm sexualy active.
My reply. It's none of your business, If I own gun or if I do how many nor how much ammunition. Sexual habits, It's none of your business if I'm getting any, with whom, nor how many times per night! If you're going to be rude, you'll get what you asked for!
"Why do you ask?"
Always puts a person on alert that they have crossed the line. Then, if they answer, well, I have to ask these questions, tell them it's none of their bidinezz and hang up. Geesh. What nerve they have!
This isn't about money, the cabal fully indented "healthcare" and "well being" to be a way to override your rights.
They want to get you on a DNR list
They have BEEN pushing that crap to Medicare advantage plan holders. I finally had to get very forceful with them after the thousandth call - I am PHYSICALLY disabled, not mentally disabled and I DO NOT NEED OR WANT you coming to my home. Do NOT EVER call me about this crap again. They stopped
Same ruse for me, but from my doctor’s office to monitor my blood pressure. I said no and hung up. This was preceded with a letter, then the FU call. Just another attempt to bilk more money from Medicare and secondary insurance. I am a former RN, so I know how to take my own BP. Save it for someone who is unable, incapable or can’t afford the monitor.
Some new health care scams going around. One even knew my wife’s birthday.
Same here. I said no he said it’s free. I asked if it was required he said no, I said nothing and hung up.
I'm a new Medicare/United player. When they called me, and I actually took their call, the dude would not give up. I told him I have my annual check up in two weeks, I'll run this by my doctor. His response: Why would you want to speak to him about this? I informed him our call is over.
That's just creepy!
73? You tell them, young lady. Proud of you.
If they're checking for firearms they'll find plenty.
Now I am VERY proud.
You exist for their business and pleasure
I doubt it was even legit. Did he have an Indian accent by any chance? Those scammers will do anything, ANYTHING to make a buck. Medicare might email you and say, hey, remember to get your yearly check up. But they shouldn't be calling you like that. I'd call them if I were you and ask if they actually do that sort of thing. Let us know what they tell you, please. Glad you stood your ground.
Edit: I just realized this was a medicare supplement company I guess.
Yes it was legit.
Wow, talk about over-reach. Sounds like you were very polite. I have learned that when I decline something politely, and the person pushes harder, it usually works for me to instantly go to 10 on the scale. I've let them have their say, I have given my answer / response in a cordial manner. If they then don't accept that and continue pushing, I let them know in no uncertain terms I am done with them. Just a suggestion and thanks for answering.
As an update, I told the director of the church pantry I volunteer at about the call. She said she did it and found it helpful. 🥴 of course she is vaxed to the max and has many mystery diseases. She also said another woman from the pantry was entertaining them today. Also a fan of vaxing.
You are so right. I found out who to avoid getting to friendly with by their thinking that this intrusion was a good idea. Sheep avoidance detector. 😂👍
