They would have information on illegal immigration, probably trafficking and definitely Antifa and other radicalized protest groups in the U.S. in addition to having extensive knowledge of crooked Democrat politicians. Those law firms probably hold criminal evidence, or even evidence of RICO conspiracy, that Democrat officials don't want to see the light of day.

What I read is: It is not known whether Itkin and Arnold were on board or why they were in Maine.
It is not known says they could have been.
