Payseur was supposed to be one of the families on the left in the graphic above. Daniel Payseur was supposedly from France and settled in Lincoln Co., NC, but the name is probably derived from German, not French.
The Payseur hole is interesting, but I haven't found good solid evidence.

I dont think 'P' is simply another family behind the scenes. I would guess a title or occult position. A family is possible but who knows.
I do see a lot of P and R symbols(usually in thr R it highlights the P part) in construction companies around, so it seems deep rooted but have never heard anything about it.
Just like almost every financial company has a W or M (part of Freemason compass symbolism), and every other construction company has cube and/or triangle symbols.
