While your statement may be correct in a "behind the scenes" type of way, US Qatar relations have generally been good. That's not to say they aren't making either back door deals with Iran or at least non public deals, but traditionally since 1972 at least, the US has had pretty good relations with them.
Remember that before 2016 US was a deep state puppet as well aha getting along with a country working against US meant nothing when US itself was actively sabotaging itself!
Or they gain an advantage at this time to have Iran seen less powerful.
