Same here. I'm "unemployable". When you apply for a job they'll typically give you a personality test. They want a certain type of person working for them. One who will take orders and unquestionably do their job and fall inline. I'm INTJ, same as Elon. INTJ's make horrible employees aside from engineers. We think for ourselves and like to create things.
I have out of work for about a year now. It is hard these days find a job with all the Ghost jobs that companies put out with no intention on hiring anyone.
When we used to load games on ZX Spectrum via a cassette tape, we used to take a good nap while the game was getting loaded. Half the time load fails and we had to rewind and go back to nap.
Years ago when I was desperate for a job (but not quite desperate enough), I applied to be a home delivery driver for a local grocery chain. One of the interview questions was "What do you like best about the position you're applying for?"
My answer was about the autonomy it brings. They didn't call me back.
No biggie at all, and I feel that way about pretty much everything...even the personal challenges. I live in the "everything happens for a reason" camp.
It'd be great to get a guide for discovering said reasons, but that's part of the benefit of this Earth walk...working it out ourselves.

inventors. I understand.
Yeah!
I'm like that. Can't keep quiet.
There's a dimension out there where Elon Musk works customer service at AOL
You mean tech support?
He's still here and the richest man on the planet and Netscape is long going and nothing but a chapter in the Internet's history book.
Missed opportunity for Netscape.
I opened my own company also. I helped my wife build her own business and the kids business too. Quit working for others if you are a leader.
STEP OUT BE BRAVE...or keep writing Resumes. Elon was smart and did his own thing
I am doing that also but I still cannot work full time on my business and survive so need my night job.
Good old days of Netscape Navigator. Get on the browser if you were in a mood for a good nap.
Are they still around? I like their shooting star graphics.
Even the CD-ROM golf game that came with my Win95 dial up was painfully slow, could nap between shots as it loaded

Marc Andreessen must be still kicking himself to this day.
I am sure.
This must've been before he was cast in a role in this movie.
Movie with a over the top script.
I am sure.

I am sorry. I am sure it was for the better.

Cool post, in any case.
He is better off for not getting a job there IMHO.
Howls. I am sure.
