In a Desoto (I think it was Desoto) you could fit a few in the trunk. The back seat would fold down so after you got into the drive-in the kids in the trunk could crawl out and into the car! Nope. Never did it, but I saw it happen!
When I was first married over 50 years ago, my new husband drove the last model of an Impala convertable...no roll bars. I could literally stretch out on the back seat for a nap on long trips.
I had a sky blue w/white top 74 Pontiac Le Mans, same frame as the Impala, different body. That thing could fit 8-9 depending on which friends I had in it. I played H.S. football back then so had a lot of friends that were big guys.
If I used the trunk and back dash I could fit 12-13 and the tires would be rubbing the wheel wells.
๐๏ธ๐ฅฐ A ๐ ending.....
Me, too!
I remember when Impalas were real cars.
We even called them "Boats" back in the day....

We loaded up a car and trunk once with so many kids, the wheels were rubbing against the wheel wells!
So funny!
Yuppers..It was fun going to the drive-in.. watching everyone pile out of the cars..miss those days..
Me too!
When I read impala and 8 thought - โcruising down the street in my 64.โ

Beauty.....
I used to have one (but not that pretty) and I unbolted the back seat so we could throw our beer cans in the trunk.
Back then safety concerns took a back seat to having a good time....

When gas was cheap!
My first car was a 75 Impala. My friends called me โThe Skipperโ. Lol. I can parallel park anything!!

Internet car, not the actual one I owned.
๐Drunk๐
I once saw 123 clowns exit the same car
Allegedly the alleged carjacker will not allegedly steal another car.
Oh he ded
For awhile anyway. ๐
But somehow he'll still vote in the midterm election
Comment of the police lieutenant (It seemed to be self defense). You think. He was protecting not the car but the family inside.
I don't care if he was protecting a stick of gum in the car. Clean shoot
Good shooting! This man just saved the taxpayers so much money and many people will stay safe without this animal on the loose.
Body worn holster for the win.
x 2 for some of us.....
1 less carjacker
Oddly enough they haven't gave a description/name of the dead criminal.
But just by the looks I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT .....
more than likely
They used to hang horse thieves right?
I think the police Lt may be an ass-clown.
The father did exactly what he should do.
How did eight people fit in that car is what I want to know lol.
Yea!๐ I love instant justice.
They fit 8 humans in there?
Hintโฆ itโs okay to leave off the word โAllegedโ in titles. When that word came into common news usage it watered down the whole story.
THIS is The Way.
Well done sir.
