Andy Barr has been my representative for a while. He’s a very good guy. I’m just glad Daniel Cameron lost. Cameron was McConnell’s preferred successor. Andy Barr, meanwhile, was endorsed by Trump. If Thomas Massie loses (and it looks like he might), then the story of the Republican primary in Kentucky will be Trump and MAGA flexing its muscle within the party. Traitors and disloyal anti-Trump weasels get EVICTED!
Hmm was there a Nate somebody in the race at some point?
As I understood it McConnell had two protogees in the race and there was a third out to break them both. Breitbart Matt Boyle interviews him multiple times by I feel like Matt said that he didn't make it to the finals...
Nate Morris stepped aside when Trump endorsed Andy Barr. Like Barr, Morris was a Trump loyalist, but was a bit rougher and less experienced with a background not in politics, but the private sector. Morris’s blustery, populist ads highlighted his experience building a successful trash collection business.
Ok I seem to recall that Morris was a way outsider and that he my still have a future.. Perhaps Barr is thee best that we can get out of Kentucky right now.
Between McConnell, Paul, and Massive Kentucky has a deep state old money feel.
Surprised Mitch lived long enough to be tossed out. No reason for his wife to stick around now - no power - no info and no more "bonus" money from this old white ghost of a man.
Unfortunately, McConnell wasn’t “tossed out” but retired. But luckily his preferred successor just lost to Trump’s candidate, Andy Barr. Sleazy squish McConnell is no longer the kingmaker of Republican politics in Kentucky that he used to be. It’s Trump’s party now, all across the nation. That’s a very good thing!
Barr isn’t exactly a MAGA barnburner, but he knows Trump calls the shots and will toe the line. Daniel Cameron, on the other hand, is a classic dithering, Bush-style RINO. An old school, pre-MAGA “politely-bend-over-and-take-it” type who was groomed as McConnell’s successor, but is a proven loser. He lost to Andy Beshear in the last governor’s race, for example. Cameron looks good on paper, but has no appeal and can’t win elections…

How is that race going?
FINALLY the turtle is gone!
I hope the same goes for all the nursing home candidates and RINOS in general.

The turtle has been "gone" for a long time. Kek.
OK, so more accurately - now the govt position he was taking up is no longer filled by his name! 😁

You're right, I forgot he quit. Let's hope and pray we have enough loyal patriots to make things happen.
Unless he has a hand up someone s ass.
Kentucky politics are twisted.
Seems so!
Bye bye Bitch Mc
So..."Ding, Dong, the Mitch is dead..." ?

Yep! Once and for all! 🐢😵
I knew McConnell was retiring. Who is Andy Barr? Is he Maga?

Good riddance
Just a slight change: Good riddance to the bad trash of a senator!!!!!!!!!

Does this mean the Turtle slowly disappears into the sunset?
