What's interesting is the actors used for Fred, Donald and Mary Trump look very much like the actual persons at that age. Very much.

The clip is real, but not everything is some decades-in-the-future delta.
It's just a cute reference, that's all.
Trump was mentioned once on The Real Ghostbusters, too. Because he was a billionaire socialite easily identified with New York City.

This Quantum Leap episode was from 1992, when Donald Trump was already a household name. It's obviously supposed to be Donald Trump in the show. That's a core part of the entire series, having people famous in the 80s or 90s showing up as kids or showing their ancestors in the show.
The episode was made after Trump Tower was already built and everyone already knew his love of Tiffany's. He named his third daughter after them.
So I don't understand what's so head twisting about having actors playing his parents that resembled his real life parents. That's just basic common sense in casting.
I honestly don't understand all the fascination over this.

Trump was a famous New York real estate celebrity for decades before politics. He appeared in movies, TV shows, commercials, magazines, talk shows, and was referenced constantly in pop culture throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
A TV show mentioning a kid named Donald Trump isn't evidence of a prophecy, time travel, Q proof, or a hidden operation. It's evidence that Donald Trump was already a well known public figure when the episode was written.
The fact that one of the commenters who actually owns the entire series says it's "just a cute reference" seems like the most grounded explanation in the thread.
Think about it. Trump appears in Home Alone 2 in 1992.
What's the movie about?
A young boy gets separated from his family, becomes trapped in New York, and must navigate a dangerous situation while everyone thinks he's alone.
Fast forward decades. Trump becomes president and constantly talks about saving children, fighting trafficking, and exposing hidden networks.
Now add that Home Alone 2 takes place in New York, Trump's city. The scene is filmed in the Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned at the time. Kevin literally asks Trump for directions. Trump points him toward the lobby, the central hub of the building.
So are we supposed to believe it's just a coincidence that a future president appears in a movie about a lost child seeking guidance, filmed in a building he owns, where he directs the child toward the center of operations?
Or was Hollywood signaling the plan decades in advance? Isn't Hollwood supposed to working for the other side.
Of course, none of this is evidence of anything. But that's exactly my point. If you start with the conclusion and work backward, you can turn almost any pop culture reference into a "proof."
I can work my way backwards from now and show how virtually anything can be made to be seem like proof of something.

You didn't just share a clip of the show. You shared a post of someone suggesting the show was proof of...something or other.
If it was just a cool clip from an old TV show, I wouldn't have said anything. But the title literally says "Future Proves Quantum Past" and half the comments are talking about proofs, coincidences, hidden meanings, timelines, and quantum mechanics. That's why I responded to the implication rather than the clip itself.
