Well now, that's the biggest problem in the Constitution.
There are no criminal penalties listed for people trying to take our rights.
That, combined with the fact that if a penalty for a crime is a fine, then that action is only a crime for the middle and lower classes. For anyone else it's just the cost of doing business.
You would not want criminal penalties as part of a constitution.
There are, in fact, laws created by congress for violation of of conspiracy to deprive someone of their rights.
The problem is NOT the constitution. It's the endemic corruption and the drift, over decades and longer, from the constitution that the corruption has facilitated.
The Bill of Rights is about "Rights" for American Citizens... granted by God, not Government. It's all about reining in governmental control and abuse.
The phraseology of the amendment PRESUMES a pre-existing right.
