You have my sympathy!!! I'm dealing with the same thing. I don't have the constraints that you do with firing someone but I know from past experience to DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.. date / time / content etc. It's exhausting but vital.
I had two other employees that I fired for cause.. their worked sucked, they showed up when they wanted to show up, spent the day reading entertainment blogs, etc. As soon as they were fired, we got slapped with a discrimination suit. Fortunately, I had all my notebooks and all every email sent after a verbal conversation that began ".. to reiterate our recent conversation".
The problem is, in my position as a director, I am held to a "higher standard" .. and can't challenge views or even be open about mine. It's exhausting
Recent conversation with a person (whom I love dearly) but is sooo indoctrinated it's beyond sad:
Her: I'm going to a "Right to Life" rally Me: Excuse me? You mean that march on Saturday? Her: Yep Me: Buuut that's not a Right to Life rally. It's an Pro Abortion rally Her: Yea, ok. Potato, Potatoe Me: No... call it what it is. If you stand behind your opinions then don't try to colorize it. Her: Fine. It's a Pro Choice rally. Me. Annd who's choice it is really? Her: Mine, of course Me: Right. So it's not really "Pro Choice", it's "Pro Self" because all you hear is "IM not ready to have a baby"; "I can't afford a baby"; "I don't like the baby daddy". So just call it what it is. Her: I can't talk to you
My company (healthcare) issued their mandate on Wednesday before Thanksgiving (late in the afternoon). HR also stated that they would accept any religious exemption.
My position is well-known in the company and when I presented every piece of information I have saved about the jab as well as an employer waiver form... they told me to "just fill out the religious exemption".
I refused stating that my belief system should not enter the work place to open myself to ridicule, retribution, etc and that the Constitution, as well as my faith, grants me body autonomy.
This went back and forth but I wouldn't budge. Finally they just reclassified my position as 100% remote.
When the LA court decision was published, I immediately sent it to the legal department and asked them if they were prepared for the onslaught of employees who received the jab solely from coercion.
They asked me to stop putting things in emails. I laughed.
Not one chance.
Just putting this out there because there may be people who can find it useful:
I started taking a tablespoon or elderberry syrup daily. I live in an Amish community and one of the local stores was selling it. It's suppose to improve your immune system and two weeks in, the usual winter sniffles, scratchy throat and coughs have stopped.
I've never been one to run to the doctor or even rely on OTC meds... usually just let my body do what it needs to but this actually seems to be working.
I've learned over the past 4+ years to detach from my emotional side and things are what they are and as much as I would love to be privy to the truth behind all things it's just not going to happen...
As someone said earlier, this wasn't about Rittenhouse as much as if was for the right to self defend. The "mom" in me sees this 17 year old and feels bad for what he went through and angry ... we all know that the DS's go-to is weaponizing emotions so not falling for it.
Realistically, real or not.. white op or black op... stretch or no stretch... you just have to think logically and no fall into the traps
A few days ago, one of my close friends was refused access to his dying mother in Einstein's ICU because he was not jabbed... as one can certainly imagine, he became upset.. the nurses felt "threatened by an angry black man" and had security remove him from the ICU and then proceeded to call the police.
To their credit, the police tried to reason with the nursing staff... offering to escort and stay with my friend in the ICU so he can have a last visit with his mother. They refused. They would only allow a Facetime call.
Fortunately, everything was captured on video. Einstein is NOT going to come out of any of this looking pretty.
Yep. My faith is rooted in God and Christ as my savior but don't go to church because none in my area actually follow the Bible. I much prefer fellowship with my customers and having impromptu service and Bible study in my restaurant.
There was a 600+ page ebook by Cody Snodgres called Choosing the Light: Dark Secrets of the OKC Bombing. Pretty intense and "rabbit hole" doesn't even accurately describe it... could almost seem fantastical if you are still asleep. I'd be more then happy to share if I can figure out how send.
Montgomery County, Delaware County and Chester County all surround Philadelphia. Mass exit from Philly into these counties by "woke" libs who verbally support BLM and Antifa but don't want their cars bombed or windows broke. If Montco has 78k phantom votes, then Im anticipating the same (or more) in Delco and Chestco.
I live in Lancaster County around several different Amish communities. The ones that have businesses that cater to the community don't wear masks... but the businesses that draw their income from tourism wear them, really, to appease tourists.
Not sure about the Plain community but I live in Lancaster County and almost all of the communities I live near didn't subscribe to the narrative. There were a few Amish owned businesses that hung mask signs and put down social distancing tape but didn't force anything on anyone.
I’ve never worn a mask... and I didn’t mention anything about guns blazing so not understanding your point (I am over caffeinated though)... I was only pointing out that there are those who will actively take a stand and those who will sit on the sidelines cheering those on. ??♀️
As far as helping those who are still... and may continue... to be blind, I totally agree with you.
Agree with this 1000%!!
We also have a responsibility to protect our constitution, liberties and freedoms.
We own a restaurant that isn't bowing to our tyrannical governor so I meet a lot of people who are standing on the right side of the line but would rather somebody else do something if it comes to it.
Personally, I'll go down fighting. Give me liberty or give me death is remembered for a reason.
(( sorry, been up all night and on my 17th pot of coffee!! ))
My restaurant has been open, and seating, in Pennsylvania. In fact, our tshirts have our logo and "Fighting Tyranny Since 2020" on them... a few people have reported us but the majority were just so damn happy to be able to sit and eat without being forced to wear a face diaper or have their pancakes made into a milkshake so they can sip it through a paper straw in their masks... smh
Everyone was looking for live arrests and all these other "big" things to happen... and if we were waiting for it, THEY were prepared for it to happen... and I think that's also part of the plan. Keep them on their toes and off balance.
Or everything that is suppose to happen is happening behind the scene... either way, hold the line and keep the faith. #GodWins
STILL ALL IN!
I know enough to know that things aren't going to happen the way I want them to because I don't have ALL the information .. so I'm not going to be like a kid at Christmas who didn't get the toy they wanted.
I'm going to breath some air, take in some sunshine and put my faith where it belongs!
That just won the internet today!!! LOL!!!
