Free speech is not absolute. It doesn't mean that we are free to say anything we want, wherever we want, or whenever we want.
For instance, child pornography, inciting violence, harassment, libel, and slander are all things that are not allowed under free speech.
Gag orders from courts have continually been upheld by the Supreme Court. They do not infringe on freedom of speech, as a whole. Although, they are considered in a case-by-case scenario. Trump could take his case to court if he feels that it infringes on his freedom of speech.
I thought democracy was "mob rule" and something we weren't for. At least, that's the argument I've gotten from people here whenever anyone dares to say America is a democracy. Before someone chimes in about it- Yes, I'm aware we are a Republic. A Republic is a form of Democracy.
But it seems as if President Trump is saying we live in a Democracy, and it's important that Democracy is upheld. 🤔
What happened to Trump becoming SOH, getting Biden and Harris booted, and becoming President again?
Why has everyone gotten so quiet about this? Just a week or so ago I was being called a shill and all other kinds of things because I disagreed with the daydream that Trump was going to be SOH and then President...in 5 months.
So...🧐.
I have a feeling the studios are going to cave and everyone in SAG and WGA is going to get a huge pay raise, like what happened with the UPS strike that resulted in delivery people getting $170,000 a year and huge benefits.
That strike has really gotten a lot of people interested in unions.
being censored is NOT LOVE
Constantly talking to your sister about subjects she's repeatedly indicated she doesn't want to talk about isn't an indicator of love, either.
It's pushing your opinion on someone. And that's not a good thing.
This guy has a HUGE following of people who tend to base their opinions and actions more on emotions than anything else. His posts over the years have done a good (or bad, depending on the viewpoint) job of reinforcing that and spreading it to others.
His platform could easily be used to weaponize emotions, if it's not already doing that. Which makes him dangerous.
So, yeah, I agree he needs to stop being given any more attention by others (on the right, left, center, tops or bottoms) just to minimize the exposure he gets.
That's an excellent point that I didn't even consider- how human hands are so difficult for AI to replicate.
The problem with the image I've had is how to get the little pixelated box by the hand on the right side of the image out of the shot without it altering the scan.
If any of the pixelation is left in the photo or I just put a plain black box over it or crop it out without doing anything else, the AIornot scan comes back saying it's AI.
If I crop the photo where it's just of the remains, and take out the person completely, then it says it's human made (not AI).
But that leaves out the hands, which you point out is a huge factor in AI.
Just looking at the hands, they look real. But at this stage, who can tell.
So I guess everything I just said can be summed up with 🤷.
Life gets more and more complex and confusing each day. For me, at least.
This. He made a name for himself as being a provocateur in college and never really got out of that mentality. He can't really hold arguments against adults, so he still limits himself to high schoolers and college aged kids.
I don't think that's evidence the photo was fake or that he did it deliberately.
Looking at the comment section on his post, only a few people brought up the photo being fake.
But there were dozens (possibly hundreds, I stopped reading) of posts about how inappropriate it was for him to be posting photos of dead children (fake or not). So I would think that might be a more plausible reason.
But it could also be because it was fake. I don't really care. I didn't like Shapiro to begin with, and that hasn't changed. So, the totality of my caring about it in the long run is...meh.
I 100% agree about vetting things before sharing them, and I said so.
I also agree about not having to edit photos you want to check on AI scanners. But I think this is something that needs to be taken on a case by case situation. I can understand this case because the pixelation would throw off the scan. And pixelation, in general, is important for privacy reasons, so I think an exception could be made for it.
Thanks for your two cents on the subject. It was a bargain.
So, I just ran the same photo, where the little pixilated image is not in the photo, and submitted it to the same website, and it says it was generated by a human. So not AI.
You can check for yourself. Just crop the image so the blurred part by the person's hand on the right side of the image is not included, and upload it to aiornot(dot)com.
I just ran the image, unblurred, through that same site, and it says it's AI-generated.
I haven't tried a different site that checks for AI generation, though.
Maybe it's how it's cropped. Because I cropped it right up to the pixilated part in the photo, and it said AI generated
I'm going to crop out just the pixilated part and see what it says.
Ok, I just re submitted it, and it says it was made by a human. So not AI generated.
Maybe I left too much of the pixilated image in my last submission, who knows.
So, after all that, 🤷.
I'm curious. Does that mean a safe vaccine for Covid DOES exist?
