There are scams galore to profit from stealing 'your' stuff, even stuff you consider useless such as facebook. And facebook has always been a government spy-op; WHY does any sane person use it?
In the 70s we read newspapers and books, proper punctuation was observed because everyone had editors who ensured the fact of it. No one recommended all caps unless it was truly urgent informations.

Javelinas are tasty, true enough. One of my most fond memories of being in USAF was when we'd have to be choppered out to the missile sites and the pilots would fly through the mountain passes then drop down low below radar and fly along chasing javelina thru the desert, dodging suguaro cactus. Nose down tail up doors open and hanging by your straps, it was great fun.

It does have provisions for you to do that tho. It does not command you to do so but allows for you to do so if that sort of thing is your pursuit of happiness.

We could use 'some' of that but it's even simpler really. All it would take is for each border County Sheriff to call out a posse. Volunteers would show up, many/most of us with our own personal gear such as clothing, binoculars and surveillance gear, food, weapons as needed, tents and such. We would need comms, or protocols such as merely assigning 4 of us to work with each Deputy. And a clearly defined Mission such as Repel Boarders, not detain and process, Repel Boarders.
In muh Texas for instance the Sheriff could ask for Veteran CC holders to volunteer, we are already inspected and licensed by the State and as Vets we have sworn the Oath. We swore our Oaths when it meant something, we believe in the Rule of Law and understand we follow Lawful orders only. Thousands of us would volunteer if asked.
We wouldn't need much beyond simple Boots on the ground. We would need 'some' heavier firepower in case the cartels fought us because they DO have heavy weapons, yeah. So a few things would be nice, but we don't need mines or mortars, we'd be killing cows and javelinas and innocents.

It does matter tho, overall it does matter.
We are all equal at birth, perhaps, or have the same potential to be equal. But immediately thereafter it evolves, we each take different paths, we each learn different things, some more and some less.
And it happens, in Human history, that 'some' folks just never do as well as others, some never understand compassion or morality or logic or kindness or empathy. Some folks develop cultures which never discover education, never advance their Society, never seek to improve their existences, when compared to other cultures and Societies around the globe.
It is a simple historical fact.
It is true that there are good and bad among all of our Societies but some Societies consistently offer a much greater proportion of bad, even when removed from that Society and immersed in others, even when decades of effort is made to effect a wholesome change, it persists.
One little example are poignant here - blacks in America commit crimes in far greater numbers than their percentage of the population should suggest.

As a Christian I am not the least bit worried about the Enemy. Not in the dreadful sense you imply.
