Favorito and VoterGA presented information in a press conference in November of 2021. In this presentation, VoterGA reported that ballot images that are required by law to be maintained by the state after every election

I think the law that requires ballot images to be treated as public records and maintained is this one. See section 51.

https://www.legis.ga.gov/legislation/59827

This was signed into law in March 2021 and did not apply to the 2020 election.

Yup. That's in the link I posted.

Which is why I think it's a signal.

Yeah, but then he said this

“Well I’m not allowed to testify. I’m under a gag order. I guess,” he said as he looked at his attorney, Todd Blanche, who nodded.

“I’m not allowed to testify because this judge, who’s totally conflicted, has me under an unconstitutional gag order,” Trump added. “Nobody’s ever had that before, and we don’t like it, and it’s not fair.”

https://fox59.com/hill-politics/judge-corrects-trumps-claim-that-gag-order-prevents-his-testimony/

Why would he say that if he wasn't going to testify. He had to know it was untrue. He got his lawyer to agree to it and his lawyer obviously knows it was untrue.

I think he was signaling to the public he's changed his mind about testifying.

Cohen is up for Monday.

I think it's a giant risk when defendants testify, but they are going to find a way to challenge the testimony of others.

What Trump SDNY trial?

The DOJ is not a branch of government.

And it's not within the Judicial Branch of Governmentm.

It's within the Executive Branch

I think military lawyers would disagree with you about tribunals of folks not in the military.

It will certainly come during the trial.

Do you mean Eric Trump? I don't think there's anything preventing him from releasing it.

Trump's VIP contact list just got released after it was entered into evidence Friday.

Do you think Trump takes the stand?

He seemed to back a way from that last week.

My guess is that Judge Howell viewed the video footage from the security cameras.

Yes. It's the expected thing.

The idea would be business as usual until after the Victory Day Parade.

The rumors going around Russia are they emhad the evidence against his deputy since 2017, but he intervened in the investigation. And that the bribery charges are for the public. In the background, it's about something bigger.

When Prigozhin was still alive he feuded with Shoigu and Putin used them against each other, but since Putin killed Proghozin, the army and Shoigu have gained more power. So by letting them take out his deputy is either a warning shot or the first shoe to drop.

Either way it's the biggest military corruption case in a decade all ready

In the Russian system the government is dissolved each inauguration and Putin submits new names to the Duma to approve. Usually it's the same folks, but perhaps not this time.

So right now the government is currently dissolved.

Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov has been detained on suspicion of bribe-taking, the press service of the Russian Investigative Committee said.

Outside Russia the UK gov says other big fish are being looked into including the #3 guy in the military and the finance minister.

Russia's First Deputy Defense Minister Ruslan Tsalikov has been questioned by the FSB in relation to a bribery case involving Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov

Tsalikov, often seen as the third most powerful figure in the Defense Ministry behind Minister Sergei Shoigu and General Staff Chief General Valery Gerasimov, is considered a close associate of Ivanov. Both officials have a long history with Shoigu, having worked under him in various capacities before their tenure at the Defense Ministry began in 2012.

This actually makes it seem like the argument would have helped Trump.

But I also don't think this guy influenced the ruling in any way. For one he says he spoke to him on the same day Engoron issued his ruling.

It was a 92 page ruling. It obviously was written before this conversation.

But one thing that Engoron changed in this ruling was he said cancellation of Trump's NY business licenses were no longer necessary as the Trump Organization now has a court ordered monitor and a director of compliance looking over it who could detect any issues.

That seems to be the exact thing this guy was talking about.

Bailey said he "explained to him" that a fraud statute at issue in the case was not intended to be used to shut down a major company, especially in a case without clear victims. He said such a ruling would hurt New York's economy. Engoron had rejected a similar argument raised by the Trump team in court.

It would be interesting to see if this section changed that day.

I don't think this would change anything about this case.

Stormy denied it two times in January 2018.

Both stormy and her lawyer at the time Keith Davidson at the time were asked about in court. They took a "definition of is" defense.

This is from twitter

We're reviewing Stormy Daniels' signed, January 2018 denial statement that denies the romantic sexual affair ever happened.

Davidson explains—almost boasts—"this is a tactic that is often times used" by publicists and attorneys dealing with the press. Davidson: "An extremely strict reading of this denial would technically be true. I think you have to go through it word by word. It would technically be true with an extremely fine reading." He says we'd have to "hone in on the definition of romantic sexual affair. I don't think anyone had ever alleged that any interaction between she and Mr. Trump had been ROMANTIC."

Prosecutor: How about sexual?

Him: "That would be a sexual AND/OR romantic."

Prosecutor: "How is that technically true?"

Davidson: "I don't think anyone had ever alleged there was a RELATIONSHIP between Stormy Daniels and Donald Trump. A relationship is an ongoing interaction."

I think it would be the appeals court and it's more about a mistake being made, than past reputation, I think

I thought of that too. Ineffective Counsel is something you can often appeal on

Like two different ways she can kill the case

She's back on the stand tomorrow.

Any website that reaches a certain size has to register with the government.

They change this law about 5 years ago
