No it isn’t. I build houses for a living. It was stupid high four years ago. We had lumber shoot 30k over budget just for one house. Nowadays it’s levels out plenty. Back in the day a normal 8’ 2x4 stud would go for around $3.30, todays it’s around $3.90. It’s not a huge difference. And stuff goes up gradually anyways over time. And then sheet goods. Four years sago 7/16 4x8 sheet of OSB went for like $28-$30 a sheet. Now it’s around $14. Back in the day, the best was $7-$8 a sheet. So again, it’s not terrible and prices go up over time. So no, lumber isn’t bad right now at all.
And speaking about Canadian lumber. We used to get some 1x12 16’ boards we use for “decking” or roof, no we don’t use cheap OSB crap for a roof. But it always came from Canada. It was the good stuff. But, these past few years, I haven’t seen any lumber from Canada. I mean nothing. Lots from red states down south. I see people saying this is gonna affect building, and it’s not true. In a way, I feel this was changed awhile back. Maybe just for this purpose. Timing is everything.
Was posted yesterday. And everything is moving so fast I didn’t even see it. That’s crazy the digital team at the White House did this. I tried to find the actual website but was unable to. Only news story I saw post about it was this one.
Must be helicopter flight hours? Searching how long to receive a private and commercial license brings up about 300 hours or so, and that’s including both. But to get an ATP license(airline transport) is like 750-1500 hours. So, who knows. It might just be her total flight hours. So honestly I don’t know if that’s good or bad. Sounds low, hours wise, but that’s me. I’m ignorant to much of this.
She sounds like a great person. I don’t blame her for all of this. There are many people involved. I guess the family feels her name being released will tarnished all she’s has accomplished and whatnot. They are most likely Trump haters as well. Her family. Sad. She was a Christian. Has licenses in private and commercial flying. Being involved since she was 12 years old. Her dream was to fly. It’s a great write up. Accidents do happen. Maybe she was the copilot. Maybe not. We know air traffic controllers were failing that day. Why the helicopter was 200 ft higher I have no idea. Definitely has incompetence involved. Perhaps for all parties. I don’t feel the plane had any choice. Nothing they could do.
Yea definitely had the “incompetence” feel all the way around. Except for the plane pilots. And no one has the guts to say anything about someone from the military, esp a black female, isn’t AMAZING at her job. Everyone makes mistakes. This one seemingly hard to believe but as I said, co-pilot, traffic controllers, etc. Wonder if the plane black box will show anything. They could’ve been yelling about the helicopter for 10 seconds before it happened. We may never fully know the truth here. We need “merit” in our military as well. Haven’t seen many talking about that but we definitely don’t have our best and brightest in the ranks. That’s obvious. Standards need to go waaaay up.
From what I’ve read I other threads it’s not a direct investigation of Chuck just yet. There is a “probe” style investigation going on and Chuck IS apart of that. Nothing direct. So technically this is false information as of this hour. As the day goes on things may change. So much is moving so quickly it’s hard to keep up.
So the family doesn’t want it released because she’s black or a woman? I mean if she was qualified, who cares what color her skin is or the fact that she’s a woman? Accidents do happen. Or, was she a DEI hire? And even then, there’s a co-pilot. The situation is still weird. How the heck could they not see the plane?
The only way people are gonna trust the three letter agencies again, is do what we know needs to be done. Arrest them. Show proof of their crimes. Make examples. That’s accountability. Not just an vengeance thing, no we need by the book, law and order. People being fired and forced out does nothing. Not for me. I want to see justice. Lawful justice. Otherwise no one will learn that crime doesn’t pay.

Just more manipulation by the MSM. More reason to SHUT THEM DOWN. They literally have Obama’s law to spread propaganda. Gotta get on that.
A gold mine for rounding up illegals. Tom said he wants safety first when it comes to the process so, I doubt we’ll see any operations to “gather” here. But man, would be nice to see. A group that size would get violent most likely. Still tho, ICE agents foaming at the mouth watching this, lol.
The US entire governments works like this. This is the problem. If a mayor is corrupt, his officers are corrupt along with him. They know what’s going on is wrong, but no one does anything. And if they do, they’re done. This guy was writing to check to not only terrorists, but probably people whose names rhyme with EPSTEIN! Otherwise why is he so mad. Walks out. Because he knows what he’s done is wrong. “But I was just doing my job. I sent money where I was told to”. Even when trafficked kids were involved? Yep. This has got to be more than just terrorist. Otherwise why is the audit so feared. It’s dirty. Big time. And we all know it. This “I’m just doing my job” crap has got to have consequences. To many people go along with corruption, knowingly, and do nothing about it. Entire offices of government are like this. As well as the private sector. Sheesh. Lots to do people.
I just hope people don’t confuse being fired with accountability. People need to be arrested and jailed for the laws that have been broken. Simply being fired is nothing. People resigning is nothing. Let’s have actual accountability. By the book, for all to see.
Maybe it’s because I see lots of “sports girls”. Just been around sports and the like, and the girls shaped like this could beat up wee men all day. Not saying they might get heavier has they age, who knows, but as far as physically fit, they run and practice with what seems like all day. Rough and tough. Maybe it’s a southern thang?
