As someone that heavily involved in this space I would encourage you to not use "incrementalism" in this context. (States banning it individually)

That's not what the word is generally understood as in this context. This is more of a "states rights works" where some states are choosing to abolish (the opposite of incrementalism) abortion.

Our organization and most others we work with have zero desire for a special federal abortion ban. This is a states issue. We would like the federal government to recognize the biological FACT that an unborn child is fully human from the moment of conception however. This would have a greater and more unassailable impact

I wouldn't call outlawing abortion in the entire state "incrementalism"

As someone that is part of EndAbortionNow.com (we wrote part of the amicus brief that overturned Roe v Wade) In the context of abortion we would define incrementalism as making minor laws against abortion to reduce the number I'm abortions by percentage, incrementally, over time. Not all at once.

Fully banning, outlawing, and criminalization obviously works far better than incrementalism since we had 30+ years of incrementalism prior to Rove v Wade being overturned.

Dude what are you talking about?

The Torah simply means the first five books of the Old testament. Genesis through Deuteronomy.

Every Christian should respect those and attempt to apply the general equity of what God was conveying with the wisdom, Justice, and righteousness of his law in our daily lives and society today.

I'm Reformed Baptist (I'm not Jewish and belief or heritage at all) which is a traditional Protestant and we, as well as most traditional Protestants like Presbyterians and others, would consider the first five books of the Bible to still be relevant today including God's law. The only thing that has passed away / that it's been fulfilled is the holiness code which are your dietary restrictions and other ceremonial laws.

Now that we're in Christ we're no longer justified by the law but by grace but as the Bible tells us multiple times all the way through the New testament, the law never passes away and is always valid.

Jesus is the Messiah and he said the Torah is still the law.

What you said is incredibly ignorant. I would encourage you to not take this as a personal attack or insult, But as a opportunity for you to actually grow intellectually.

On the subject of Jesus then obviously "Jew" in the standard definition / context of that time.

In all cases, Jews want nothing to do with either Jesus or his mother and openly disrespect both.

Not true. Messianic Jews Believe in and accept Christ as their Messiah and many throughout history have just shed that label and have instead just adopted the label of Christian.

The current tech people like to dismiss is AI

I'm hearing people talk about AI the exact same way that people that were unfamiliar with the internet and online shopping and that said that they would never use their credit card on the internet sound So very familiar to the people that I would talk to about IT stuff 25+ years ago.

ALOT of people simply don't get it. They don't understand it and they are afraid of it.

I spent a few hours teaching my 70-year-old parents how to use and customize chat GPT and AI image generators to help them do tasks that they regularly do in their business and personal lives and now they use it regularly. They are Not only more productive and have saved thousands of dollars on things that they would normally pay professionals to do but they also have more free time as a result.

Biden bravely went up on that stage & snatched defeat right out of the jaws of victory!

We'll see. (And I genuinely hope they don't swap him out but I'm also a realist)

In conversations like this I like to point people towards the need in the English language for the word "unprecedented"

"Deal with it" is something I reserve for saying after something has happened. "We'll see" allows for the unexpected while retaining my credibility.

This would be the BIGGEST wild card / red pill ever.

I've had this as my ultimate wish list conspiracy for a while.

A trump JFK Jr ticket would be unstoppable then we would get 8 years of Jr after.

Yes. Please.

A rock and sling is a Sheppard's tool

A bow and arrow is a hunting tool

An axe is a lumber tool.

A knife is a cutting tool.

But in a time of war they can be used as weapons.

I think you missed the point.

They have until August 4th with Ohio's ballot laws to do a quick and easy change out.

If they pull some legal shenanigans they could do it potentially as late as September.

Let's see.

Doubt.

If there wasn't the MSM wouldn't have turned on Biden in the last 24.

Did I say you hurt my feelings? Hardly.

Oh no, I made a typo on my phone while I was watching the debate. That invalidates all my articulated points completely /s

I'm not confused bud. I literally can't figure out what your position is after asking countless times. At this point it's clear you don't have one, just ad-hominem fallacies.

Pathetic and sad.

Blocked.

You have yet to explain what your position is.

Do you believe that Jesus wasn't at you? Yes or no?

Or do you just believe that he wasn't the Messiah?

You are being vague.

That's a you problem, not a me problem.

I'm the only one between the two of us actually attempting to have a productive conversation and understand the other person's position and represent it accurately and honestly.

That's not hubris bud. I need you to tell me what YOU think, not what scripture I'm already familiar with says since YOU are the one that seems to be in conflict with Scripture and historical Christianity IF I'm understanding your position correctly.

Coating scripture at each other isn't going to actually be productive unless we contextualize What are specific assertion or position is and how that particular passage supports it.

This is really basic exegesis. Can you handle that without making personal attacks? Because so far you're not doing well.

Last chance.... Explain your position and answer the questions that I asked above And we can have a productive conversation like adults or go away.

You seem to have a poor understanding of the Biblical definition of what constitutes a Jew.

Birthplace Bethlehem = Part of Judah His Parents = Jews His Linage = Jewish Royalty line of King David & Solomon His birth, life & death = Fulfilled Jewish Messianic prophecies (including being born in Bethlehem)

How exactly is Jesus not Jewish?

Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father making all His enemies His footstool. He is ruling not only Israel but the entire world. ALL authority has been given to Him.

I know scripture and Biblical history quite well. What I'm trying to understand is your reasoning and get an explanation for why you believe Jesus is not a Jew cause frankly I've never heard that one before and I do alot of apologetics and I'l like to document this new flavor of objection to scripture.

The Jewish lineage of Jesus is detailed in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke:

  1. Matthew’s Genealogy (Matthew 1:1-17):

    • Traces Jesus' lineage through King David and Solomon, highlighting his legal right to the throne of Israel.
    • Begins with Abraham and includes notable figures like David and Solomon, emphasizing Jesus' fulfillment of Jewish Messianic prophecies.
  2. Luke’s Genealogy (Luke 3:23-38):

    • Traces Jesus' lineage through David's son Nathan, underscoring his biological descent.
    • Starts with Jesus and traces back to Adam, stressing Jesus' universal human connection.

Both genealogies affirm Jesus’ descent from David, fulfilling Old Testament prophecies about the Messiah's lineage.

There's A LOT more But to deny that Jesus was indeed a Jew is absolutely ridiculous.

Who do you think Jesus was exactly ethnically?

As for your other objection It's not even an objection as much as it is just ignoring something that's obviously true. And this is coming from someone taking a very objective view on this subject. I'm not a Jew. I don't support Israel. I don't believe that Jerusalem has any place in future biblical prophecy as a Christian. I don't support the rebuilding of the temple or the reinstatement of the sacrifice. I don't support sending money to Israel.

I'd say my position is pretty straightforward and unbiased. How about you?

Jews are a high-performance people. It shows up in the patents they get, the companies they start, Nobel prizes. They’re less than 1% of the world’s population and they have this outsized influence on all kinds of things. If you have a high-performance people, when they’re good, they’re very very good, and when they’re bad, they’re very very bad.

When I’m talking to people who I would think are antisemitic, they say ‘Look at these bad guys.’ I say ‘Yeah, I grant that. They did a lot of damage. And now can you acknowledge all their contributions to heart surgery and philharmonic orchestras?’ And it goes dead quiet. They do not want to admit all the positive contributions.

A philosemite would be someone who only talks about the positive contributions, and tries to cancel you if you point out the negative ones. If you point out the negative ones but will not refer to the positive ones, that’s what I would call an antisemite.

There is a huge contingent of very VERY evil "Jews" out there but there are some that are amazing people to EVERYONE. But from what I've seen, you see more positive societal influence the further you get from Orthodox Judaism which gets magnified the closer you get to Messianic Jews, aka Christians.

The "ethnic" Jews that use their heritage as a shield for any criticism towards them or other Jews is always the biggest red flag for me.

We need to be cautious though not to paint with too wide of a brush because we WILL be cleaning this up soon.

Jesus was a Jew as were most of the apostles and the early Christians. Those that reject their Messiah are with Satan. Those that are in Christ are our brothers.

2nd commandment violation refers to breaking the 2nd commandment as outlined in the Ten Commandments.

Exodus 20:4-6 (NIV)

  • "You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments."

Deuteronomy 5:8-10 (NIV)

  • "You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments."

Let's obey God. Let's trust that God is not going to use something He expressly forbids (#2 on His list) in His Word to convey a miracle.
