This is the correct answer. It used to be the case that built-in was garbage or non-existent and browsers sucked, but that's changed and now the most 3rd party can do is drain more resources for the same protection.

I don't recall this page being in the book. I feel like I would.

"What if" is a shovel. Some find only dirt. Others find treasure. Others still find lost history.

Never discount the tool capable of much.

Based on the words in the article, this happens all the time and isn't a big deal. So if the article is fake news, then we know nothing. If it is being honest, then we know it's a routine thing for airspace etiquette.

Some prior postings on this website seem to indicate a large number of big names have been executed.

I find this website very hard to believe, and furthermore find myself questioning the true purpose of it.

Don't be sorry, it's simultaneously both the most stressful and best thing to ever happen to me. It pushed me into this world I am in now, and forced me to choose a side instead of keeping my head down.

Without the struggle, I'd remain naïve and distant from the things that matter more. You got this, too, brother. We'll always be exactly where we need to be when we need to be there.

Your title rings true for me, at least. I was a software engineer once upon a time before that career was taken from me. I was damn good at it, too.

I wasn't particularly the best coder, but I don't know how to leave problems unsolved. 18 hour days, then thinking about it when trying to sleep. I never encountered a software issue I couldn't solve thanks to that, as brutal as it can be at times.

Now that I've been ousted from that career for around 5 years I'm basically broke and barely getting by, but I value the truth over comfort so I make do.

They were hoping peer pressure and employment opportunity would force otherwise averse individuals to see it as a necessary sacrifice despite their own misgivings.

It's fairly effective coercion, though they probably didn't make the splash they were really hoping for with it.

If you are unable to control your own emotions, someone else will always be happy to step in and do it for you. Puppet masters need their puppets.

Totalitarianism, fascism, and socialism were always risks of leftist extremes.

The more right you go the more freedoms until you hit the extreme of anarchy / wild west. Hard to get fascism or totalitarianism when your slider requires less and less government oversight or dictated control, you know?

Hope this didn't blow anyone's mind :)

So much fear and hatred malware installed in the human OS these days. Maybe one day people will recognize the backdoor trojans for what they are and stop labeling it education.

A jeweler takes a perfect diamond and sets it into a golden band with great precision. A pickaxe seems barbaric.

A miner chunks away at ugly rock and dirt, often times having a process to sift through all of the dirt and false-gems to find the ones worth something.

Which of these two encounters the diamond first?

Does the dirt and rock devalue the discovery of the miner?

When you become aware of the man behind the curtain, you realize all the stories they said about oz growing up weren't crazy ramblings and it's never been the magical place you believed.

Consider yourself in a better place now that you can see.

Why does it feel like they were hunting for this one in excitement, throwing confetti when they could muster a match?

Seems twisted and evil.

Thanks for the link, I too use Reddit archiving sites to reveal them :)

Just reflecting on how insanely controlled things can get hah.
