I sympathize with the individual stories. I could definitely see getting a job when I was young paying way above the value I offered with 100% job security and getting real, real comfortable.
Now, Trump is taking that away and all my overpaid friends are going to be looking for the same few jobs I’ll be trying to get.
Sucks for them. But, frankly I’m tired of paying their salaries and never would have started if it were up to me.

Says there’s a dad and mom, each with a kid from previous marriages. (Dad has a son, mom a daughter)
Dad and mom keep a piggy bank in their bedroom filled with $20s and $100s. One day, dad checks the piggy bank and sees it is missing a sizable portion of money.
He knows if he confronts the family, everyone will plead ignorance, nothing will be recovered, and somehow HE would be the bad guy for bringing it up. So, he comes up with a plan. Set up a camera to catch the thief.
It works! He catches the daughter helping herself on several occasions to the piggy bank money. He can confront her now with this incontrovertible proof, however, it would mean admitting he had set up a camera and revealing how he knew what he knew. This is an ability he might need again later. So, he comes up with another plan.
He makes a public announcement he plans to open the piggy bank later that week to buy mom a present. One he can only afford with that piggy bank money.
Now, he waits to see what the daughter will do. This is a classic “the guilty flee when no one pursues them” situation. If somehow the daughter keeps her cool and acts like an innocent person would, the dad would start leaking information around her. “Can’t wait to buy mom that gift this weekend. Glad the insurance company made me put that fingerprint antitheft seal on the outside.”
Eventually, she’ll freak out and do something. Admit guilt, sneak the money back in, or do something extreme to get caught. It’s practically a spiritual law.
This is what I’m thinking Trump and co are doing. It’s best to catch the criminals by how they react versus, “hey look at this cool Space Force computer nerd NSA data we have.”
