I was going through that myself 2 years ago. I did find God and I have come to the belief that I will do what my God leads me to do and after that "God has got this". While studing the Bible I quickly found that this is not the first time this has happened and each time it has, God has interviened and corrected. GOD WILL MAKE A CORRECTION.
The only questions that remain are will it be the final correction and "Have I given my life to Jesus?" We all need to recognize that Jesus lived and died for the forgiveness of our sins and rose again to conquer death. Sin is death of the soul and Jesus concquered that death for us all. Once you have professed that your salvation is complete. From that point on all you have to do is work to make yourself better. Bear in mind that if you are not sincer about asking forgiveness God will see through that and will know that you were never sincer to begin with. That's why he is God he knows all.
If you do these things it will change your life in ways you never thought possible

I would love to here more of the history. Especially the history going back to Isreal during there civil war.
