Wrong - a pardon can be granted at any time AFTER the 'crime' has been committed.

Just a little enhancement, from my perspective:

• Last year (??) Dems allowed for the DNC to 'select' a candidate after the August meeting confirms Biden if he withdraws or is otherwise unable to continue.
• Biden will win the nomination, he'll pardon Hunter, then resign and withdraw from the race.
