In a past life I worked at a juvenile products company, product engineer for kids car seats. Engineered, designed, manufactured them as well as all other juvenile products categories.
Along the way I managed cribs, cradles, play yards, etc. As the AAP got on the SIDS bandwagon they advocated for all types of ‘positioning devices’ to keep kids from rolling over and suffocating and succumbing to ‘SIDS’.
Deep down I always found that to be somewhat strange. Kids dying in cribs, cradles, etc that have been used for centuries...and now this info is uncovered, showing the real cause of those deaths

Yes that is what I’m saying. This is why the USA is not a democracy but a constitutional republic. It was delayed long and hard by the founders.

Which is surprising since I’m the only one in our fire department that didn’t submit to poison injections. A few of our EMTs volunteered to inject the public during the drive by poisonings.

We have all heard the common talking point from the left that conservatives are destroying democracy. The response to this claim is the same time and time again: “We’re not a democracy, we’re a constitutional republic!” This leads us to ask an important question: Are there any differences between the two, and if so, why do they matter?
The answer is simple: There are profound differences between a democracy and a constitutional republic that are crucial to every aspect of American life. These three quotes from the Founding Fathers remind us to defend our constitutional republic with all our might.
Alexander Hamilton stated, “Real liberty is neither found in despotism or the extremes of democracy, but in moderate governments.”
Hamilton recognized the first of three harms of a real democracy. Democracy excludes the minority’s rights. It reminds me of the classic saying, “Democracy is like two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch, but a republic is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.”

Yup. Got fired from a paid training gig at the fire dept for allegedly ‘mansplainin’ and ‘talking down to’ members when training. Never told who I splained to or what was said. The Chief didn’t even know what mansplaining was but went along with the firing anyways.
