Why is it that you can't see that human beings of an era have similar traits for a reason - and those reasons didn't come from themselves? You are denigrating an entire generation of people as if all of a sudden humans became stupid and selfish all on their own. And now from your reply, not only are their faults their own, but your faults are theirs also ... yeah comical indeed. I'm not a boomer. I just disagree with your way of thinking.

You're blaming the victim. Each of our generations has different challenges brought on by the people who have real money and real control. Has your generation seen the rise of immorality and the loss of God? How about the destruction of the family and respect for parents or people in general? Have you considered that your generation just doesn't like to work, takes no responsibility for their choices, and thinks they just "deserve" things. Shall we blame you for that? Or was it caused and created by the elements of the world pushed onto you? All we can do is try to be better individually. I'm not going to blame my granny for being old, sick, rich, and scared.

I think someone at that company needs a refresher on the "healing ministry of Christ" .... the irony

Romans - Speaking about government

For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

Hahaha the only men that will suffer (I guess) for this are the simps that already scratched out their manhood to be with these liberal twats.

Nonsense - they always had it

Not all cesspools are liberal cities, but all liberal cities are cesspools.

I grew up near Columbia - it's a trash heap.

Here's another shooting this person was involved with in 2018

This may be completely wrong, but Jewish people of the day believed that the Messiah was going to come and restore worldly power and autonomy to the Jews. Maybe Jesus was trying to set the record straight in Luke 17 that His authority was not going to be a worldly one.

The Roman authorities may very well have called it disturbing the peace and even seen it that way, but something worth being tortured and dying for caused early Christians to continue to spread the gospel. I believe it was that Jesus came back to them.

I don't know how I would go about providing myself evidence of their martyrdom. I believe it, though. There is plenty of evidence that Christians as a whole were hunted down and persecuted in the early church - wouldn't that be especially true for the "founding members" if they were still alive?

To think that they were not martyred, you would have to also believe that the disciples did not boldly go teach about Christ or that the Romans and Jewish leadership were not desperate to stamp it out. If either of those things were true, Christianity could not exist today. There were very few of them in the beginning.

So if they went and boldly preached about Jesus, why did they in the face of persecution? What changed? All of them fled the arrest and some wrote about it to their own shame. Some of them went straight back to their old professions like, "oh well, it's over." I think they must have seen something amazing like the Resurrection. Anyway, that's my thought process.

I just feel like the statement made by Jesus must be talking about the transfiguration since there is no other context. There is literally only the statement by Jesus in Mark 9:1and then Mark 9:2 describes the Transfiguration event. What other reason would the statement be made if not in setting the stage for the transfiguration? The writer must have included this seemingly one-off prophecy for a reason. He almost certainly believed the 2 things to be connected.

I'm not sure what you are getting at, but Jesus left the world after spending time with the disciples for 40 days after the resurrection.

I'd also point out, that this resurrection is another instance where a believer who "had not yet tasted death" could credibly say they had seen the Kingdom of God come into power. That is unless you don't believe them, or that you don't believe that something amazing happened to these believers to make them transform from "cowards" into willing to die horribly in only a matter of days.

If your master took you up on a mountain, rays of light started beaming from his body, two old prophets appeared, and the words of God himself called your master Son ---- wouldn't you believe that you had seen the Kingdom of God come into power? That happened a few days after Jesus said the words above.

Like the whole "violence is never the answer" brainwashing. It most certainly is the answer in some cases.

What you say is true. It's telling that you got 6 upvotes for saying to trust in Jesus only and then 5 downvotes when you called out the thing the world trusts in more than Jesus Christ. I can't imagine what it will take to awaken people to the evil of the medical industry if the last few years haven't.....

We have had more power outages over the last year than we have in the previous 8 years combined. It has become such a nuisance that I purchased solar panels for a bit of a backup. That worked out so well and was so easy, that I am considering getting a whole house system.

I don't understand. How is it huge? Maybe I'm just thick, but if you get 94% of a group to go along with what you want, that seems like a win.
