Exactly my concern as well. Term limits would not get rid of corruption. You'd just end up with positions that will be controlled by political parties? Same as we have now.
I don't think the issue can be fixed with more restrictions. The corruption needs to be addressed first. It's like taking pain killers everyday to avoid getting knee surgery. Eventually the knee will just give out and leave you in more pain.
I say, fix the corruption and root it out with campaign finance caps, donations can only be given by individuals and not organizations. The RNC and DNC need to have their influence limited. They should only be around to give suggestions to their constitutes. You would see the scum flee once they realize they can't launder money anymore.
