The one arrest in my town mentioned the country of the offender, what he/she allegedly did wrong and the date of arrest. I looked up that date in the public report in the newspaper and the only thing that might be the right thing had no mention of the offense but said another agency was involved besides the sheriff’s department. Another town I used to live in has a news report that keeps an easily searchable history of offenses, ICE holds, mugshots etc. I never really pay attention to that stuff so I just didn’t realize how the reports can be so different at different localities. There’s much less transparency from the news where I live now.
