Do you have any idea of what a full global financial collapse would bring? It would not bring anything but misery to billions of people. Unless you have been homeless in the past you can't imagine what it is like to have nothing. I am not arguing that a shakeup isn't needed. But a collapse would necessarily lead to global starvation and disease, and not just some part-time pandemic. A global financial collapse would put every country at odds with its own neighboring countries such that the wars we see around the world now would look like a couple of drunk college kids having a fistfight. American hasn't faced a true existential since WWII. Like the rich grandkids of an immigrant who started a successful business, we have no appreciation for what it means to have nothing. Careful what you wish for.

No,as a juror, I woke up dry as a bone and looked out the window. The people on the street- the ones with umbrellas and galoshes- would be the people who could possibly have gotten pissed on. If someone claimed it was piss, my job as a juror would be to determine whether it was more likely that everything was covered in piss than the likelihood that it rained. In a civil trial (like I was involved with) I would have to merely decide whether the preponderance of the evidence (including the circumstantial evidence I saw) pointed toward rain or urine. As a criminal juror, the burden is much higher. It's not merely a preponderance of evidence. I would have to decide whether a reasonable person would believe beyond a REASONABLE doubt that it was actually urine. Knowing what I know about weather, and having 59 years of pissing experience would make me comfortable making a decision about which was more likely, even beyond a reasonable doubt..

Plus, when I was on Jury duty 20 years ago that was the exact same analogy the judge gave us as we were going in to deliberate. It's commonly used as an example of what constitutes circumstantial evidence.

The problem is that people always cash out. They cash out when they think it won't go higher, and then the first rats to flee the ship cash out as soon as it begins listing, and leave everyone else holding the bag. The company had $58 million in expenses against $4 million in revenues. $4 million is a tiny bit more than the average McDonald's restaurant takes in annually. But the average McDonalds store isn't spending $58 million just to keep the lights on and the Fryolators bubbling. I get wanting to be on the team, but the valuation is so totally out of whack with reality that there must be better ways to show support. If DJT gets permission to sell his shares prior to 6 months all the shares bought by retail investors will be nothing but charitable donations, except they won't be tax deductible.

A:) If he is innocent he should have his day in court and prove what a scumbag Smith is. B:) if Presidents are immune from criminal prosecution I am afraid of what Biden might do.

Honest question: Isn't Media Matters just exercising their own free speech?

If you think about how many Capitol police were involved on J6, the fact that only 114 were injured proves it was peaceful. It was something like a quarter of the total. Show me one football game where at least 114 cops aren't injured. That's typically more than half the cops at a football game.

Did they take home movies of themselves pepper spraying cops? If so, it's definitely an insurrection.

Incontrovertible, court- admissible evidence will not be something that could be deflected. Offering soothing, plausible-sounding "fact checking" won't be an option. All the election workers who were so quick to dismiss all claims of widespread fraud will have to admit there was evidence all along. This is going to be huge in its ability exonerate or it's going make things really, really tough for President Trump if it's another nothingburger. Fingers, toes, and eyes crossed!

Finally! I can't wait for the tens of thousands (or more) of illegal ballots to be proven FIINALLY! Why did it have to get to this point???

The Republican Party courted populists and demagogues. They got them. Those people became the Republican Party. Now they cry about it. There was never any other option than for them to be relegated to the fringes. The student has become the master.

Between what he said in his texts about President Trump and his history with Hunter, I am shocked that he still has a following on the right at all. He has told everyone through his actions that he is a piece of shit, always willing to say whatever his audience wants to hear. I guess he was right that there are people that will only believe what they want to hear.

This came out a couple of years ago. The very conservative Sinclair Broadcasting group sent it to all of their nearly 200 television stations. Every one of their news divisions was ordered to produce the script 100% verbatim.
