What the hell is a "lactation consultant"?
Came here to say pretty much the same thing. No great task was ever won in a day or a year. The American Revolution in full took 20 years (1763 to 1783) to resolve: https://www.loc.gov/classroom-materials/united-states-history-primary-source-timeline/american-revolution-1763-1783/
I could cite other great events but that one should suffice. I prefer to live in optimism. In the fullness of time, I trust that these issues will be sorted. Once Trump is in office, I fully expect to see great -- even revolutionary -- things happen.
Not bad at all! Nice woodworking techniques. Since you asked, some observations about the film itself. At the 1:00 to 1:17 you show a drilling (or milling?) operation that goes rather slowly, you might consider speeding that up like other places in the video. Also, the recurring logo between scenes is intrusive; consider dropping them except at the begging and the end.
Nice job.
Thanks, it does seem to be an interesting resource; however, I cannot find this particular graphic (above) at that website. This is something I would like to share, but I never send out anything that is not sourced or cited properly.
Not to nitpick, but what is the source for this data?
Our long national nightmare is about to end. Thank you, God.
Should we say it? "They never thought she would lose."
It could have been a homemade suppressor from parts at Home Depot. $20 max.
Well it doesn't taste like chicken... it is a unique taste that I can only say is iguana. Not terrible, a little chewy, but a source of protein in the jungle. Skewer the meat and cook it over a fire, or smoke it. I couldn't tell what kind of wine to pair it with, all we had was water.
😆😆😆
So we could do without 94% of them? Hell, I'm just glad we don't get all the government we pay for. Now THAT would be pure hell.
OK, this is pretty obscure stuff. Can you explain it in 25 words or less?
Heh, don't despair. Oh the stories he will have! While I was in, I got to go on ships from the Warsaw Pact bloc (Chinese, East German, Cuban, etc.) when they transited the Panama Canal... got some jungle training, ate iguana, did wargames in Puerto Rico, got shot at when the Panama Canal riots happened... and so much more. I wouldn't take a million dollars for those experiences.
Yeah, what you said. He looked to be familiar enough with that gear that it came as no surprise to him when it failed to eject and cycle, like he'd rehearsed it a few times first. Since there is no sound with the video, it's speculation as to whether the rounds were subsonic or not...could be. But as you probably know, a .22 LR is going to be a LOT harder to engrave something on the casing than a 9mm casing.
Guess we'll have to wait to see the full report, if it ever becomes available. And illegal suppressors are just about everywhere. I've seen them sold as "solvent traps" at gun shows, some assembly required. They all come threaded for the standard threaded barrels on a lot of pistols and .22 rifles out there. Never wanted to mess with them because why alert the 8TF (kek) to your activities?
It's a sweet gesture. Sounds like you have a keeper.
As an old retired Jarhead I can attest to this. Always on guard and always suspicious.
Funny but my wife says she doesn't like diamonds either. She prefers colored stones like emeralds and rubies.
Exactly. What about camo pattern guns that are used in hunting?
Except for a few industrial uses, diamonds have little intrinsic value. People seek after them because they are shiny objects and are considered "rate"... although part of that perceived rarity is due to a tightly manipulated market. I'd rather hold gold and silver.
The casings never come in contact with the suppressor, they are ejected out of a side port... only the bullet passes through the suppressor. So engraving a casing would not be a problem, unless the extractor / ejector failed to work. I believe the gun failed to cycle because the shooter had a (probably homemade and too heavy) suppressor on it, which can be seen in the video, and that made the pistol not cycle properly. Anything that impedes an auto pistol's cycling, such as a "limp wrist" shooter or something heavy added to the gun, can cause it to not function as designed.
Is there any truth to the rumor that the shooter was caught and arrested?
The people saying such things are statists, whose only solution for every perceived problem is more state control and bigger government. Ignore them, they are stuck in the politics of the last century.
This is why tIRS has to collect taxes with threats of prison and the use of guns.
Yes, a semi-auto relies on the pistol's recoil to cycle it properly. A "limp wrist" can cause it to not cycle, as can anything that interferes with the way it is designed to operate. Most manufactured suppressors take that into account and are made of lightweight materials for that reason. So I am making an educated guess that the gunman was using a homemade suppressor made of steel pipe or some other heavy material, PLUS it looks rather long, adding to the weight. It looks like its easily longer than the pistol itself, so added weight and throwing it off balance.
Also, watching a second and third time, it seems to be a "short stroke" slide, so I'm wondering if it was a small caliber like a .22, possibly a .32 or 9mm, as it did not take much power to hand-cycle the thing. Have to consider the presence of mind the shooter used to do that, but he'd probably rehearsed it several times before the actual shooting, and knew to expect that necessity.
Heheh, probably.
