Mark Slapinski is a Toronto-based Canadian journalist, political commentator, public speaker, and social media personality. He runs his own independent platforms, including a YouTube channel (@MarkSlapinski or SlapinskiTalks) focused on Canadian federal politics, the Canada-U.S. trade war, geo-politics, and cost-of-living issues. He also maintains a large following on X/Twitter (@mark_slapinski , with over 120k followers) and has been involved in earlier projects like a tech blog and past associations with conservative-leaning or anti-vax content (e.g., linked to the "Conservative Beaver" site in older reports).

He describes himself as dedicated to exposing "Liberal corruption, media dishonesty, and the destruction of Western civilization," and he has critiqued Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party. His style is often provocative and opinion-heavy rather than straight news reporting from a major outlet. Is he a "Never Trumper"?Yes, in practice he has become a strong and vocal critic of Donald Trump, especially during Trump's second term (as of 2026). Recent examples from his public statements include:Calling for Trump's impeachment and labeling him things like the "worst president in American history," a "convicted felon, a pedophile, and a war criminal." Making unsubstantiated or highly charged allegations involving Epstein-related material and challenging Trump to sue him for defamation. Criticizing Trump's policies on trade with Canada, annexation comments, and other issues; he's supported "No Kings" anti-Trump protests and urged Americans to vote Trump out. Referring to Trump supporters in dismissive terms (e.g., implying support for Trump is an "IQ test" that people fail) and accusing some Conservatives of being in a "cult."

He has noted that his anti-Trump stance has cost him some followers among Canadian conservatives (e.g., he once described himself as a former supporter of Pierre Poilievre who turned against him for not opposing Trump strongly enough). While he positions himself as an independent who critiques the left on Canadian issues, his recent output shows clear opposition to Trump and alignment with anti-Trump rhetoric.

In short: He's a Canadian commentator known for blunt, independent-style takes on politics who has gone hard against Trump in recent years. "Never Trumper" is a term usually applied to U.S. conservatives who opposed Trump from the start, but Slapinski fits the broader pattern of consistent, intense criticism regardless of his Canadian background or past right-leaning leanings.

The pause after 'and' makes you let go of 'Iran' the subject he was talking about. So when 'is really' comes up, it could be attaching to a new, unspoken subject: Israel.

"Israeli" disguised as "is really."

I'd love to look in how plausible that Nord stream pipeline that was blown up that was insured by lloyds and now the company is in court trying to get lloyds to pay them out. But they are sticking to the "act of war" did this make them have no choice but to pull out of the straits of hummus because they need to stick the "act of war" rhetoric.

Was this a butterfly effect into this scenario if so it was a long game of 5d chess.
