So…as best I can gather from the fragmentary information floating around....Apparently we built a Firebase with an airstrip in the middle of a Hostile country literally overnight. Deployed at least several company sized elements of Special Forces and PJs that fought a running battle with the Iranian IRGC and Pro-Government Militia while searching for this pilot.
We found the Pilot and extracted. And reportedly the only losses were a pair of C-130s Delta Boys blew up after they got stuck in the Sand and soft soil.
Oh and the Discombobulator and Goybeam may have been used repeatedly.
If true. America has in the span of 3 months. Pulled off Operations that would have been deemed impossible by most conventional planners at least twice.
JSOC launched a night rescue. Delta Force and Pararescuemen inserted as A-10s struck advancing IRGC and Basij forces, carving out a perimeter.
Two C-130s landed to support the mission—but both became stuck. With sensitive equipment at risk, U.S. forces destroyed them on the ground.
Reinforcements pushed in. Under fire, the team recovered the WSO and extracted.
No American casualties.
In the end, the American forces took off and landed at a nearby base inside Kuwait, about 250 kilometers from the operation site.
Two c-130 planes gone though. Wonder if this was a multitask mission? Couldn't care less about equipment loss. Everyone went in, got our man, and all got out safe. What they left behind is coming out. The enemy was absolutely decimated! Hearing they rolled in in massive convoy that was turned into the highway of death 2.0.
😊 💯 yep, I saw that video of Iranian convoy trying to fight our rescue op. Twas both sad and yet, showed how many drive white BMWs. Imo - our fighters had a perfect sight line of enemy combatants and could've easily eliminated them all. USA chose mercy over annihilation.

Was this plane crash a cover story for the US army to make contact with the Iranian rebel groups, provide intel, help with the hacking and give them some arms?
It appears the WSO may have received help from local civilians who risked everything to shelter an American airman while their own government was searching for him.
There is a process for situations like this referred to as unconventional assisted recovery, where contacts on the ground help protect and move U.S. personnel in hostile territory.

Our guys might have been out flanked by white BMWs due to the obvious lack of turn signals on them!
