Yes, I have seen it warned about in news cycles and stuff but, not when sitting in a waiting room at a hospital or mentioned by any dr I have ever seen. They have pamphlets of many things in those waiting rooms, never saw one about parasites. ever. Although tbh, I had a case of pinworm when was little (probably from horses, we had to scrape the bot eggs off their legs daily that summer, it was bad) My mom got me what I needed to clear em out lol. Too young at the time to pay attention to what though. Kids just expect parents and dr's to magically know everything like that. So, I had at least one parasite treatment early in life.

It amazes me that they insist we deworm our animals and pets yearly but, never once in my life time have I had a dr even bring up the subject.
