The one with Shakespeare is classic. Thanks again, Fester.

My son is Command-Master-Chief on the USS Gerald Ford. He was due to come back Stateside early November. My tentative guess is that they are going to extend his deployment. The same shit is happening there as it was in the 80's, but back then we never heard the Israeli prime minister say what was said today. Not sure what other carrier is over there - we traded places with the Nimitz [I was on the Eisenhower] back in '85. If we park a couple of carriers off Lebanon it is going to become very interesting.

Good. Your opinion has been noted. And his name, by the way, is ImClearlyLost, so no name calling took place.

You could have easily made your point without resorting to name-calling. Learn how to respond to an argument without resorting to third grade language. Grow up. And by the way, it's "fucking," not " fucken. " You're living up to your name, because you clearly are lost.

I believe it was Mark Twain who said that you can measure a man by how he treats animals. If this sick fuck ever kicked a dog in front of me, I wouldn't hold back.

Not a crazy notion at all. Thanks for replying, yours is an interesting post to say the least.

I have decided that at some point in the near future, I am going to write a book trying to reconcile the science of subatomic physics with that of the infinite expanses of the universe. Ha! Good luck with that. Been recently reading a biography of Einstein [Walter Isaacson] and have already read The Quantum World by Kenneth Ford; Einstein's Universe by Nigel Calder, Hawking's book on Black Holes, and The Infinite Universe by Brian Greene. Man, I have too much time on my hands, but figure, what the hell, it's worth a shot.

Just wanted to see what it was all about. Interesting, though, how when after Lincoln was killed the motions Washington went through to find the conspirators. Reminded me of January 6.

There are plenty of others out there - Freespoke, Lukol, Swisscows, MetaGer, Giburu, Yandex, Brave, Disconnect, Luxxle, Qwant, Wolfram Alpha...I just went ahead and made a search folder and have all of them bookmarked. Bing is in there too, but it's gotten weird. Each has advantages and disadvantages. I find that if I am searching a particular topic, I will compare results and draw conclusions as to veracity.

Finally got around to reading Killing Lincoln by Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard, even though it's been out a while. Interesting analysis. Quick read, written like a spy thriller.

I think I have a greater impact being a math teacher in a rural school. Besides, I have Asperger's Syndrome and have difficulty speaking in public.

The 1978 - 2023 chart is the best, and so true :)

Just found out today that my son is now acting Command Master Chief on one of our front line carriers. Holy shit, that little punk. Proud pops here. I only made it to E5 when I was in. Nice to know he's carrying on the family name o7

Beginning to wonder if he falls somewhere on the autism spectrum disorder. I have Asperger's and am wondering if he is touched with it too.

For the Captain Obvious statement of the day, there are people out there that won't be able to handle it when it all comes out.

I took three years of Latin in high school at my mother's insistence, and only wish now there was a church nearby that had them - but then again, after suffering abuse at the hands of the Catholic church, that's not likely ever going to happen to where I step foot inside a church.

It surprises how the words in my book are beginning to pour out. My only regret is that I didn't start this sooner.
