I hope Trump takes these tax returns, makes copies of them, and then shoves them up the asses of everyone who made a big deal of it when they all stand trial for treason. He can start with that smug fuck at CNN, his name escapes me at the moment, who used to host the morning show with that Breana Keilar.

You know, I see this little guy and remember how they used to cause havoc digging a bunch of holes on our horse property. We had to be careful when we went out riding. We traveled a few times to South Dakota to near Rapid City, and there is a park there where you can drive through and see bison. You would be surprised at all the people from the east coast stopping their cars [far away from bison] to get out and take pictures of the prairie dogs. They ought to be renamed horn dogs, because those little guys would do it right in front of God and everyone. No wonder they are so prolific. 😆

Look at the report card. He goes from a B+ to a D in history. He went down in history.

Took about five hours to cut down a tree in the back part of our property. Had good shade, but it impeded a view to the northeast [we are up on a hill]. Funny how things can change one's outlook on life, especially when it comes to simple things like a view. Gives one new hope. Wanted to get it done as we are fixing to get hit with some Arctic cold here in east Tennessee.

I too read those authors when I was in school, and lament that they hardly are even taught or mentioned anymore in the modern high school English curriculum. That's my point.

Aaaaah, W.B. Yeats. I want An Irish Airman Foresees His Death read at my funeral.

Ran into a guy the other day, an older gentleman who works at Lowe's. He was at Ia Drang fighting with Colonel Hal Moore. Those who have seen We Were Soldiers know exactly what I'm talking about. These kids today have no idea...

Interesting. The wife and I were just talking about digital wallets last night, and your post reminded me of that. I haven't a clue as to how to go about getting one if we were to get one at all. Anyone have any advice on this? What would be the advantages/disadvantages of having one? Thanks.

Interesting, you're not alone, Lucille. We had the same experience in Colorado. When we lived near Denver, we could make it to Colorado Springs [where my brother lived] in about an hour. We would go see him all the time, but he would never come and see us. He didn't have any trouble asking for money, though. When we turned off that tap and moved to Tennessee, that was the last contact we had. It took a while to realize that when you do all the work and get nothing in return, you get played. We got played. Sometimes families are just like that.

Good movie, but I think they could have casted someone other than Margot Kidder as Lois Lane - but at the moment I can't think of any hot brunettes that could have stepped in :) Valerie Perrine was pretty hot back then as Lex Luthor's dame. Christopher Reeve did a nice job. The quality of the movies has gone down since then.

Look for another job. My wife and I lived in Westminster [just north of Denver] from 2008-2018. We saw Denver and the surrounding metropolitan areas explode in growth, especially after they legalized marijuana and elected a gay governor. We used to go downtown, walk the 16th Street Mall, go to the symphony, cool things like that - but when the pot smell permeates everything and you are harassed by homeless druggies but can't carry in Denver County, it's not worth it. So, how about a trip up to Boulder, you say? Well, you could go there and have to tolerate liberal thinking and snobbery everywhere you go, if that's your thing. When you go to register your vehicle, be prepared to pay 1-2 grand. Don't get a military plate and drive around - I had a Navy plate and was actually flipped off at a traffic light. I could go on, but you get the point.

Colorado is California redux. Democrats ran Cali right into the ground and then set their sights on Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. They're a disease. Vaccinate yourself from this disease by moving to a red state where they don't tolerate that bullshit.

Actually, this doesn't surprise me at all. The dooming and shilling can take many complex forms. Remember the term "reverse psychology?" If this character is done with Q, then fine, see ya, wouldn't want to be ya. I can understand the level of frustration on the part of some people; I have seen it with some of the people we associate with in our social circle. Here's the thing, though: think what you want about Q, but it is no damned wonder people are growing tired and impatient. Take a look at this country. With 24/7 news cycles, an explosive, in-your-face-look-at-me social media environment, and a constant need for self-aggrandizement and immediate gratification, people have lost the ability to be patient. They want answers and action and they want it now.

Patience, grasshoppers. Patience. It took at least two millenia to fuck this world up and it is going to take a few years to unfuck it. There is a LOT to this world and its associated evil. If you think you're going to just wash it away in a couple of years, you're delusional. Things are happening, albeit somewhat slowly by some standards, but they are happening. This is the price we pay for always getting what we want when we want it. Perhaps people need to be a little more self-reflective before they start throwing the baby out with the bath water.

One thing I did notice about the speech is the way he made references to "when he is inaugurated." Not once did he say this was going to be in 2024. I'm no savant or anything, but when I was watching this I got a feeling he wasn't fucking around. He laid out his plan for digital free speech, was specific about it, and offered concrete, specific solutions. I guess everyone was expecting some big, shocking announcement but they don't know that's not Trump's style.

Interesting to see what happens in the days to come.

Listening to some Tears for Fears coming in this morning. Good band. One song in particular caught my attention - Mad World:

"I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad, the dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had; I find it hard to tell you cause I find it hard to take, when people run in circles its a very very...mad world...mad world...mad world...mad world..."

I'm not a cat person, but this is inexcusable. I can guarantee one thing though, if anything happens to my little Chihuahuas, I will rain a shitstorm down upon those responsible, the likes of which has never been seen. Animals are on this earth for way too short of a time. They are God's creatures, great and small. We don't own them, they own us.
