Although it breaks my heart to hear about the hardships our frens endure, it brings me comfort that people like you trust us to share your struggles. This is truly a beautiful community and every day it baffles my mind the connection that has been established by just similar views or a willingness to respectfully debate. No faces, no knowledge of career or life choices, little knowledge of lifestyles, fiscal restrictions or advantages. If I wasn’t on here I would not believe it to be possible. Thank you for sharing with us. I will pray that you can find peace in your heart. This Christmas will be especially painful but just believe that you will heal and I will pray that in time you can separate your loss from the holiday season and not let it negatively impact you in years to come.
I have been an avid donor my whole life (well over 10 gallons) until it became clear that our medical system had no concern for protecting the unvaccinated. This past Monday I had a colonoscopy and had to give consent (or not) to receiving blood in an emergency. When I made it clear that I do not want vaccinated blood, the woman checking me in suggested that I include a written condition next to my signature that I only want unvaccinated blood. She said this request has become quite common. I would certainly push for SafeBlood, or similar, to become a standard protocol but I am certain the fight for that will be quite difficult. I am happy to felon this fight though!

Yep. Similar situation here. After a couple attempts I got “in” at #302,300 and patiently waiting. Reassure her she is not alone. Take a deep breath and wait it out. I am confident it will be well worth the wait.
