You have that exactly backward. Giving these people chance after chance after chance sends these messages:
- The republicans are unserious people who can be cowed by the media.
- These charges are bogus. If there was real law-breaking, the republicans would act accordingly.
- The republicans don't give a sh*t about their base.
I'm with you. Mindless support of everything Trump does in the face of reality is not what this group is supposed to be about. We're supposed to think, not be sycophants. BLM is a subset of the black community - and they staged a color revolution which resulted in Trump being removed. F them. Turn this "endorsement" into a black endorsement and talk about the Blacks coming to your side if you're Trump and have to talk about it - don't use BLM's name.

Blacks get this kind of protection all of the time. Disappointed Stefanik never asked if it was freedom of speech to call for the annihilation of all African Americans in the US. But she was afraid of the media blowback.
No. They are asking her to quit because a donor just pulled 100 million. They could give a flip about her testimony or how bad she looks.
Really, they could care less about the 100 million. Did you know Penn is worth 21 BILLION dollars? That's what their endowment is at. So 100 million is a drop in the bucket, albeit a big one.
NONE of these people will answer a subpoena. Why should they? Are they deathly afraid of the strongly worded letter coming from Jordan, et. al.? The media will run cover saying the Republicans are out of order, subverting democracy, etc.
Hunter is being tried just to give the appearance of impartiality but it's meaningless, because he'll just be taking the 5th until conviction and pardon.
