Sounds like the charges are firearm possession after a domestic violence conviction.

As far as I know, Ford's pardon of Nixon was the only preemptive pardon issued and it was never challenged because it was widely accepted that Nixon was guilty. Now, nobody knows what they are supposedly guilty of (well we have a good idea, but you know).

Trump's DOJ should proceed as if these pardons were never issued. Once the first prosecution proceeds, the defense will argue that the person is pardoned and let the issue work its way through the judicial process. It'll likely end up being decided by the Supreme Court anyway. The sooner this plays out the better.

Haha, don't forget about John Bolton.

To remedy these abuses of the public trust, this Order directs the revocation of any active or current security clearances held by: (i) the former intelligence officials who engaged in misleading and inappropriate political coordination with the 2020 Biden presidential campaign; and (ii) John R. Bolton.

Surely they're going to challenge the constitutionality of pre-emptive pardons. It's a pretty slippery slope. A president just needs somebody else to carry out illegal acts on their behalf and then pardon them.

A bipartisan group in the Senate Intel Committee tried to insert reforms for security clearance due process into the statute, so that Biden's people couldn't corrupt, but Mike Turner and his team blocked them on the House side.

Further evidence why Mike Turner was removed from the House Intel Committee at Trump's request.

Yep, House democrats and the media were more upset than any republicans about Turner being removed from the House Intel Committee. Kind of says it all, he was a big cog in the swamp.

Haven't seen it reported by anybody else yet. I hesitated to even post it.

Imagine the level of threat if they're not confident in being able to secure the Capitol Rotunda? Last I heard it was members of Congress the only ones allowed to attend (presumable besides the other essential attendees).

Not only was there no advance warning, it was launched during the Crypto Ball, a black tie event where anybody who is anybody in the Crypto community was in attendance.

That's quite the power move.

I'm guessing there are too many threats to have it outside as usual.

Scrolling through my X feed and seeing some of the questions being asked and hysterics from these democrats - these people are stupid.

Well Elon donated Starlink mini access to help firefighters and others stay in contact. He also set up strategically placed Cybertrucks to help power everything. Tesla & SpaceX personnel are driving around affected areas handing out food and water.

I'm guessing it's more than what Parkhomenko is doing.

The scientists and ecologists said the Delta Smelt is an indicator species, but supposedly the extra protections haven’t made any difference to their population.

Sotomayor is the judge ruling on the stay or she can refer it to the whole court. Of course she also wrote the dissent for the Immunity ruling which is the basis Trump's stay request.

Seems odd to play Imagine at a funeral in a church, but they are liberals.
