There was a fairly recent review by German historians of the Dresden bombings, which supposedly concluded that only 20,000 Germans were killed. I think the historians were literally terrified to conclude anything else, and I doubt they included homeless refugees in the death count.
Interesting idea, but there was only one media defendant at the first Nuremberg trial: Hans Fritsche, a radio commentator and a propaganda director under Goebbels.
Goebbels had committed suicide, and Fritsche was actually acquitted by the court. There were claims that new evidence would have changed the verdict, and in principle incitement could result in execution, but it didn't happen that way.

I think you'll find that it's your family, neighbors, and little kids that need forgiveness. Most of them literally don't know what they're doing, which Jesus used as His criterion to forgive the soldiers who killed him. Remind your Christian friends about the social context of forgiveness.
As for the planners, the producers, the intentional liars who think it's clever and funny? The corrupt judges, legislators, generals and prosecutors?
