I don’t want to fly anymore. So this morning I got up pre dawn and drove 750 miles of my 1200 mile trip. The highlight was when I saw a car with a Q sticker. I passed the car and waved like a drowning person.

At this point, I'm happy not to fly. I don't need to abuse my mind and body to get from point A to point B in the air. I'll plan around it.

Trains, automobiles, boats are viable transportation options. The airlines need to suffer on their bottom line or the tyranny won't stop.
I really don't look forward to when business travel resumes, most employers aren't going to accommodate extra days of travel to avoid flying.
The airlines received huge bribes in the stimulus bills. Unfortunately, they care about government money more than they care about yours.

My solution: don’t fly at all unless you absolutely have to. Buddy up with a private/recreational pilot if you can/want to. I’ll drive anywhere.

I understand the sentiment but why change YOUR life because of those idiots? Make them change theirs. Complain to United that your seat was dirty and the cabin was filthy. Tell them to put their cleanplus team on that instead of mask instructions. Do something like that each time you fly. Bathrooms were dirty, windows were smudged, seat was uncomfortable, attendant was rude, etc. With each complaint tell them to put their cleanplus team on it, not mask instructions.

Yes when I flew I was using my snacks and water bottle as a way to keep mask down ..they litterally kept targeting ,e saying .finish your water and put your mask on or put your mask on while chewing it was horrible

San Diego gives out white cloth ones tough to break , but I turn my head and pretend I’m sleeping ..when they try to prod me awake I ignore them ..that’s what I did last time ..those flight attendants walk the isles like nazis on a train it’s pathetic
I prefer isle seats but I may just do windows now as I can keep my head plastered against the window to look like I’m sleeping (and half my mask down the whole time)

There’s just this insane burning desire that so many people have to tell complete freaking strangers how to live their lives.
