I don’t think the DS backtracked their plan to start WW3. I think they legitimately tried and it got shut down. Saying they’re able to start WW3 any given moment means they still have an absurd amount of power and I don’t find that to be true. I think if Twitter wasn’t owned by Musk on that day WW3 would have been on the way even with Trumps announcement but Musk owning Twitter shows how far ahead the white hats are in their mission.
