You can't fight when you are surrounded on all sides. They literally can't pull ammo out of the bunker fast enough to kill the number of people that will come at them. Combat just doesn't work that way. They won't come up to the gates and line up to be shot. They will drive over the fence on the far side of the base and drive right down the runway. The fighting will be INSIDE the hangers with the planes. You have any idea what just one magazine from an AR can do to a modern jet? They are actually pretty fragile.
