I've lived many decades and I have never had a black eye.
And then there's someone like me, I've had close to ten in my life time. Worst one was fro an elbow in a rugby game. Was swollen shut for three days. The most recent one was dropping my phone at a bad angle while in bed.

For starters that would apply if the person receiving the hit is in a bladed stance. If they're standing square to you (facing you directly and not in an angled boxing stance) you can hit any eye with any hand.

Could be, I'm no expert on this since I'd never want to be anywhere near it but from what I've seen withdrawals can make these people age faster than normal and getting too much of the drug can cause the black eye.
