It is moments like these that Demonstrate to us that We are Not as divided as the MSM and the demoncrats in dc like to push that we are. God is Moving Bigly, this is proof of that!
This is how altruism is done. All the celebrity and corporate "philanthropy" that only occurs in front of cameras and media needs to be outed for what it really is.
This man is laying up his treasure in heaven. When you publicize your charity for virtue-signaling social credit, you spend your spiritual capital here on earth instead of storing it for more permanent enjoyment when you have completed your short stay in this material world. This is a big part of the new economy we will all encounter in the next world. Service to others is your capital there - it’s how you advance and grow spiritually. One source of info is a collection of 3 books by Anthony Borgia: Life in the World Unseen. It’s up to each of us whether we believe this or not, but it syncs with the messages of Jesus and makes sense to me.
I'm interested in this book but the reviews I've seen recommend getting the "original", not the one amazon lists, due to poor editing, spelling errors, etc. Do you have any advice?
I also bought 2 copies of the paperback version as gifts. Didn’t notice any poor editing but I was really focused on the content. This volume is actually of collection of 3 books: Life in the World Unseen, More About Life in the World Unseen, and Here and Hereafter. I razored through all of them. If this stuff is true, it is right in line with what I have imagined the afterlife to be since young childhood. It sure rings true with for me. Explains a lot too. Very pro human, affirming what we know ourselves to be. Nothing about reincarnation. This version has glowing reviews.
Thank you for the help. I'm trying to get it in ebook format but I'm in Canada, which for some weird reason is a challenge.
This topic is in line with my current mindset, so very much appreciated.
Awesome. PDFs don't always work for my reader but I was able to get an EPUB version. Thank you, yet again.
P.S. I said it before on another thread but it bears repeating. We need a library here. I've seen lots of book titles and reviews swapped here but I'm betting there are many more scattered among the threads.
If they made it a purpose to point out the angel was black, it's because the teller of the story was not black. Nit to mention the profile picture of the man telling the story is a white man...
I get it. Simply pointing out that they have us so on edge about race that people are compelled to point out race in order to illustrate a perceived lack of racism.
I can't speak for how a black person would take this, but when I lived in a predominantly black neighborhood I was singled out for being white. People made false assumptions about me based upon the color of my skin and it was annoying.
To me the post sounds patronizing when the story is simply that a person chose to share their cash with others who had none.
Because the tyrants label and classify us to pit us against each other. Every human carries the Divine spark that makes each of us a unique individual created in the image of God. A fundamental aspect of tyranny is that it dehumanizes the individual. You stand Dr. Ben Carson up next to Al Sharpton and you have two wildly different human beings; but to the tyrants, they think and vote the same based on the most insignificant similarity.
Agree 100%. Mentioning his race has the hallmark of those “my 2 year old asked...” Please Clap posts....
I hope this story is true, but doesn’t smell right
"The most startling thing about disasters, according to award-winning author Rebecca Solnit, is not merely that so many people rise to the occasion, but that they do so with joy. That joy reveals an ordinarily unmet yearning for community, purposefulness, and meaningful work that disaster often provides. A Paradise Built in Hell is an investigation of the moments of altruism, resourcefulness, and generosity that arise amid disaster's grief and disruption and considers their implications for everyday life. It points to a new vision of what society could become-one that is less authoritarian and fearful, more collaborative and local."
When Sebastian Junger wrote his book 'Tribe', I remember reading an interview where he talked about this. He shared a story where he talked with a woman who had been in Sarajevo when it fell. Many horrific things happened during that time - my FIL's nurse was there and told me some pretty hair raising stuff. But for all the horror, when it was over, the people missed it. Junger shared that the woman felt somewhat strange saying that, but he noted that she lowered her eyes and quietly said 'we were better to one another' it is an interesting sociological phenomenon - that when life is at its worst, people can be at their best.
That's exactly what this book referenced. From multiple events over a wide span of time, it universally showed that people found themselves and became "human" again. Joy amidst the rubble of their former lives. Government's only role in these scenarios is to restore the previous conditions of competition, selfishness and class divisions. This book upended many of my beliefs.
Thanks for your book recommendation and story.
Not sure if you're being sarcastic, but I agree with the premise.
As someone with a handful of medical NDEs under my belt I've found them instrumental in learning to be a better, God fearing/loving person as well as well as super helpful as personal ammunition against this pathetic COVID scare. Super glad I've had them. Realize they work. Wouldn't wish them on anyone who doesn't need them. And am very interested in, and glad to hear, the sociological studies mentioned above.
God works in such mysterious ways, especially when he wants you to learn something. :)
So, for various reasons I've been looking into NDEs lately and just by some weird chance you comment here and you just happen to have experience with NDEs. I don't do statistics but I'm guessing that this is statistically unlikely? Pretty cool reality we're in, sometimes.
They're not necessarily something you want to seek out, lol. But when they happen, they happen. I can only speak to the very narrow spectrum of NDE due to medical issues, nothing really exciting or dramatic like war or car accidents. I will say this though: I was peaceful and completely at ease each time it happened. And I was not religious at the time, and actually didn't become so until years afterwards.
Without details, what happened to me was actually about as close of an analogy to a hypothetical COVID death one could have. Eerily so (think flush). If people knew what it was like, I suspect fewer would fear COVID, even if it was real. ;)
Frankly, a lot of stuff I've read about the psychedelic experience touches on similar themes. However, I'd guess the brain is less of and active participant in a true NDE, and more of a passenger.
Edit: Added last paragraph. Hope the insight helps, glad to talk to you.
That man is a true patriot and hero...stepped up and did what he could for those that were in need...did not look for recognition or acclaim...just wanted to be God's hands in the situation!
These crises only seek to hurt us but instead they bring out the best in humanity. The deep state and their plans are continually boomeranging back on them and the Lord is working to teach the people how to take care of themselves again and not to depend on the government or ptb. We always have cash(though mostly worthless, it gets you things like supplies)on hand. We don't even own debit cards. My husband continually keeps probably upwards of 50 gallons of clean drinking water available for us year around. We've been minor preppers for years. It would do good for everyone to have plan if this happens to you and you lose power for days or weeks.
Agreed. I get so sick and angry when politicians tell us to push their talking points... "This is not who we are". It's to sell something. The "Real" America is kind, and good, and just and fair, and color blind, and.... .
Literal tears for this amazing story, it shows the kindness of humanity and the true spirit of Americans. How amazing would are country be if MSM shared these type of stories.
I love every single example of love and goodness shown by people. This gentleman will receive great blessings. True goodness from deep within a person is infectious along with spreading hope.
These are the sorts of stories we need to sneak into the consciousness of the normies. More to this than meets the eye - the value of human beings independent of govt and technology, the importance of cash...
A healthy reminder that having some cash available is a good idea!
And why we should fight tooth and nail to avoid a cashless society.
Oh no, not the re-education facilitators :(
Would they accept silver? XD
Haha, it'd be nice! Not too keen on parting with mine while the value is suppressed though!
That would be like buying 2 pizzas with couple hundred bitcoin few years back
That's awesome!!! God bless that gentleman!!!!

Good luck! It you have trouble getting it, let me know. I would be happy to get a paper copy and mail it to you.
This website has PDF files of the books that you can download for free: https://new-birth.net/other-stuff/books-we-love/books-on-life-after-death/#borgia

Yes I agree! A library or list of resources is a great idea. Glad you got the ePub.
Hie John D Rockefeller Salvaged his Image by Handing Out Dimes
Why is his skin color relevant?
It’s nice to hear that blacks and whites can be kind to one another after the last 10 months.
Of all the adjectives in the story, the only description of skin color was the "angel". So we have no way of guessing the agenda.
If they made it a purpose to point out the angel was black, it's because the teller of the story was not black. Nit to mention the profile picture of the man telling the story is a white man...

Same. My fav was “Hey, Dude! where’s your Skateboard!”
Was hilarious. When I responded w “Where the 3 for 10s at?” That was the last of that.

Amen.
So people can assume he's a drug dealer.
Lol nah maybe the writer was a white guy and that took him by surprise.
Yeah, look at the profile pic of the story teller.
Agree 100%. Mentioning his race has the hallmark of those “my 2 year old asked...” Please Clap posts.... I hope this story is true, but doesn’t smell right
Our humanity is obscured by "civilization" but revealed in times of crisis.

Great mini thread, and resources from both of you. Thanks for keeping it classy.

It's hard to tell sometimes on message boards. :) Glad you feel the same way. Forged in fire and all that.
He was paying it forward. hopefully that lets other also pay it forward!
