First off This isnt about the bans, or an Evspra discussion. I will admit i have a lot of time for evspra, but thats neither here nor there for this thread. Ill happily deport anyone who turns it into that btw, because OFF TOPIC.
No, my beef with Georgie has to do with what the website uses and considers its users. Im getting 25 cookies from their homepage alone, and it cant actually load on mobile now (i suspect their trackers are causing that too, they usually do). The usage of addthis guarantees what you do on george.news is known by google and others within 24 hours. There is no opt out. You either agree to be tracked or they will refuse service. You are theirs when you use george.
So what does this all mean? It means they can act all nice and sweet, claim they aint in it for the money. Then all the while they smile at you, they sell what you do and are interested in to the highest bidder. I should know, i helped design some of the tools for analysing the results.
Every word you type in a search bar anywhere is captured if these trackers are in place. Login to the site, they get your email as a validation and can apply the algorithmic data associated to it. This is then aggregated into audiences that advertiser spend on like an auction house. Your eyeballs can even be monitored through your camera to see what you look at. No one really realises just how often their activities alone are bought and sold every day. They collect all that data effectively for free and make a killing if it performs.
it's no longer about not asking for donations or selling tshirts.
George in this case is making a mint on being the only vector for targeting conservatives for data. They dont need your donations if they are taking from you what you throw away everyday online for free, and reselling it to people who hate you, and can use it to hurt you. Given the people buying said data want to put all trump supporters in re-education camps, ill take a hard pass at providing any forms of pii or time on screen to GN moving forwards.

GN supporters coming out of the woodwork here also have some comms tactics that im very familar with, from when i debated commies and actual right wing extremists. The collectivist loves using motte and baileys, strawmen and streams of tu quoque to demoralise targets. When that fails, they just revert to ad hominem. If they know they can't win, they go straight to the insults.
i also keep going back to q saying "HELLO GEORGE". I always thought it meant soros, but now... Not sure.

One thing that bothered me about them before all the stuff about them came up was something that happened in the last livestream I watched.
George said not to decode or read anything into their messages. This really rubbed be the wrong way because they are constantly posting cryptic crap. Like the stuff about the blue boxes and the keys. If you don't want ppl reading into and trying to decode your messages, then why are you posting cryptic messages in the first place?
That right there made me really suspicious of them, and then Evspra came out with all the information. And while I don't necessarily agree with the ban and thought it was premature, I understand where Evspra was coming from.
I just wish the whole situation was handled better by ALL involved. It could have become a real bonding experience for the board as a whole to do a board-wide research project into George News to get to the truth once and for all. I think that would have been more unifying and a much better way of handling things.
But I understand that MODS have a hard job and they are only human. Evspra is still my favorite mod and I really hope he/she comes back someday. I truly believe the whole thing was done out of a sense of protecting us from getting swindled by a potential charlatan.
The research wpuld have to be done by a place with actual autists. Most of us here are TDW transplants with very few great seasoned researchers.
A lot of the posts I see are MAJOR stretches to try to make any possible connection. Thats why George News debacle has been so divisive. That and also people are itching for anything from Q and GN seemed to feed right into there.
I have no issue with them being a news aggregator to go up against the lefty drudge reports of this world. I even like that their chats bring together patriots from all over to be able to discuss and spread the word/grow the movement.
But this whole tracker stuff and some of the other reallt fishy stuff is alarming.

I kind of feel like he fell on a grenade for us. He was trying to shut it down as fast as possible once he figured it out. Some people think and make connections faster than others and it makes their actions seem hasty. People couldn’t catch up to what he was doing, sacrificing really, and attacked him because they were slower adjusters and felt threatened.
Good intentions are prevailing here. We must have a little faith in each other. It’s foggy. Support each other. Allow each other some grace.
The last three G posts before all this went down really made me feel weird but I couldn’t conclusively say either way if it’s because they were illegitimate or what. Evspra did the dirty digging to get the tunnel started for us. Now the truth is getting exposed.
Fair enough. I don’t know his character at all, I’m just drawing conclusions on the actions and results. And overall I think it was correct. The execution was not ideal but the conclusion was still correct.

I said it yesterday and I’ll repeat it- over target. It’s so obvious. And I get the feeling things are really getting spicy fast.
I have come to two major conclusions re the whole GN situation:
FIRST:
The thought of bad actors collecting, collating, parsing, storing, applying, and manipulating our data is scary as hell! GN has done an EXCELLENT job of pulling in numerous conservatives and harvesting their data.
Can we trust them with it? Hell no! The potential for them to use our data to eliminate voices of dissent is very real. And very scary.
SECOND:
I hope we all keep this incident in mind when DECLAS comes. There are so many who frustrate us with their seemingly willful blindness to what is really happening all around the world and it's easy to want to dismiss them as worthless.
BUT...
Remember how easy it was to fool many of us. We, who are aware. We, who know how the evil deep state works. We, who use discernment, skepticism, and questions to drill into what's really happening. We were still bamboozled!
So keep that in mind and use compassion and care when helping others come to terms with reality. Anyone, and I mean ANYONE, can be misled if the stars align correctly.

My final conclusion? GN doesnt care about you. They say they do, but they just want your data to either a) sell on for cash, or b) something far more sinister, like FF agitation.

Kind of a loaded question on this board, but humor me.... they knew they needed to keep their options open. And it became clear in the weeks after the fraud that we weren't letting it go and conceding- so GN activated to gain our trust. They now had a target demo and a theme to coalesce around- first, cautiously as court cases played out, but in full force after the events of the inauguration.

Some counters: On point 1, we're making the assumption that those photos aren't public domain to begin with. Unreleased, maybe. But it's a very high bar, legally speaking, to sue someone over pictures of a public figure- paparazzi have gotten away with far more invasive behavior.
Point 2: Even MSM 'tards know the phrase "Trust the Plan". That neither proves nor disproves GN's alignment or intent.
Point 3: I think, by Nov 8th, we had a really good handle on the fuckery, both on .win and the chans. FFS, I was in Scytl's infra early am on the 4th and saw plenty of shady shit, all of which has been independently confirmed and released. Again, neither proves nor disproves... "we" crowdsourced all that work and it could have been compiled just by reading threads on TDW.

They have not confirmed anything I didn't already know and added no context to what I've suspected. Not saying they're bad, but that they have no useful first-party info to offer at this time. For now, it's noise amongst the signal. And I'll be honest... it's not a Q thing, but the date I need to know is if/when this goes hot. I have to assume we're way off "the plan" and plan accordingly.

I do have the website bookmarked and read it from time to time. My primary social media is gab. It is good that we were informed of the issue. Thank you.
In 2012 Obama signed HR 4310 which repealed the 1948 Smith-Mundt Act. In essence our media can LIE to us. They can do it. It is legal. So no one should take any “news” seriously and believe it unless it is confirmed by multiple sources at the very least. And with deep fakes, can we believe what we see on video? Heck of a situation. I had no interest in "George News" until the fight started. I searched for their name (not on Google) and came up with a domain name "george.news" which I assume is the right one?
Anyways, if that is the site we're talking about then it is currently DOWN due to "a major issue at our data center."
Disclaimer: I have no idea who runs george news, I have no idea what their intentions are, i don't understand why people are so worked up about that site, and im not defending anyone.
However, I've used addthis share buttons on my own site without any knowledge of that being used to track anyone, and I'm not selling visitors' information. I just needed share buttons. Your average person with a website, trying to earn an income online, is just an average person without nefarious intentions. We can't all be computer geniuses with insider information about how these tools work. Most people with a website are using these tools, putting up the cookie warning, and going about their business. If you think everyone with addthis buttons is an evil data seller you are mistaken.
Addthis sells that data to other companies in exchange for better marketing reach. If all you have is data and no add space, they can offer to pay you for it.
Not saying all Addthis sites are evil, but they are all available to googles algos.
