I dont think high IQ leads to differing ideas, it just leads one to arrive at the same inescapable conclusions a little quicker than the average person given the same stimuli and inputs.

When AIs become a thing, it will be the measure of the quality of an AI as to how quickly the AI decides that killing all the bankers is the best way to fix the world. The quicker, the better it is. Not megaflops or bogomips or anything else that's a synthetic benchmark, rather how many seconds to deduce the needed steps to save the world.

IQ = processing speed. My IQ is approximately 140 (supposedly) and it is ridiculous how little effort I have to devote to learning things compared to "average" people.

What's terrifying is that half of people are below average, and they are closer in intellect to mental retardation than they are to me, and I'm not even close to being a genius.

That’s the mean, not the average.

For example, the average of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 100 is 77.5. Almost 90% of the values are well below the average.

The mean however is 6 so 1/2 the values are below and 1/2 above.

High IQ does nothing if the person has too big of an ego to actually consider that they're wrong on something and need to think about it more (i.e. apply/use the processing speed)

How is it that a smart yet underachieving B- student like myself with an above average vocabulary, that didn’t take anything of significance from the public education system as applicable to adulthood, is a habitual loner and hardly even knows how to file taxes, or hold a job, walk away having a better grasp of critical thinking skills and questioning the logic of the world around him; than my younger overachieving sister who actually applied themselves in school, has better social skills and can hold a job longer than 6 months yet has TDS?

I’m a straight white male, and outside of the standard forms of systematic oppression being foisted upon me in recent decades, the system has never really worked in my favor. Not academically, financially, or socially. I’m very much ready for a complete overhaul/reboot of the game of life, just not in the same way that the commies would like. My ever growing sense of resentment towards reality would be somewhat tempered if I could have a solid relationship with a woman that cared.

There are good places to find women and bad places to find women. A bar is a bad place. Church is a good place. If you're much past 18, another good place is the local community college.

Take some courses. You will meet some adult women who are trying to better themselves and are smarter than average. That's how I found my wife over 30 years ago.

Having Asperger's, I was surprised that I managed to get her to go out with me, and then really surprised less than a year later when marriage happened. I just don't know how I did that.

I have been under-educated in the school system right into college, and because I didn't have a magic piece of paper, I could never get a really good job. I finally quit work when I was 50 and had enough stupid micromanaging and was financially able. I haven't missed work at all. I educate myself with my huge library and what I find online.

Go take a college course and let it be known you're in the market. Somebody will help match you up, just somebody helped me.

Don't ever give up, or "they" win.

Agreed. My roommate was like that. Super smart techie but says there is no creditable evidence of election fraud. He actually worked in anti-trafficking in S Africa, but now somehow cannot see that it is a worldwide huge thing. Thinks q is a ridiculous cult/psyop and has a bad case of TDS.

My frustration at trying to wake him up led to too much negative energy in my house so I gave him the boot. Now my step son is living with me. He knew about all the corruption but not about any plan, which is why he had such a bad attitude for the last decade. Now, within a week, he is fully on board and we share memes and laugh together every night as we compare notes on this crazy movie playing out.

Wonderful.

Nothing beats good ol' fashioned life experiences. Example: The people who know best about the issues of true environmental stewardship are the farmers, ranchers, foresters, hunters, hikers, campers, boaters, fishermen, and outdoor recreationists. The ones who actually have spent their lives interacting with nature know best how to care for it.

I love Chris because he's overcome so much. He grew up in an abusive family. Worked out to get buff and beat up bullies. Was too smart for college. Was a bar bouncer in NYC for 20+ years and learned a lot about human nature. Now he lives on a farm in Missouri. He gives no shits what people think or say.

The only person I have ever seen President Trump look at with the most fiery loathing was Hillary Clinton. I do think he hates her. Not because she's his enemy, but because of what she has done to children and to the world. Because she's pure evil.

I read about him in Malcolm Gladwell's book called "Outliers," which is basically about how people become outstanding. There's an entire chapter about him, along with all kinds of other curiosities. The chapter about kids' soccer is astonishing.

Gladwell's other book called "The Tipping Point" is closely relevant to our present situation, and I highly recommend it.

It's been a long, strange trip from that summer of 2012 until now. I wish everyone the best.

The CMTU isn't easy to internalize but it says a lot about greying the line between observed reality and sharing a common percieved reality. God and other important concepts don't have to be observable to exist. Good stuff if you can wrap your head around it.

If you can grasp the idea that when two things have a difference, it means they have many similarities, you should be able to unlock a good bit of it. It’s not really technical on the face of it, but very intense to think about. Might make sleeping harder if you are a thinker.
